Leeds United frontman Mallik Wilks will not go on trial in July after the courts delayed the hearing. Wilks was charged with violent disorder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in an alleged attack at Leeds West Indian Carnival in Chapeltown in August 2017. The footballer pleaded not guilty to both charges in November last year. As a result Wilks was due to stand trial on July 1 and was granted unconditional bail. He spent all of last season on loan at Doncaster Rovers. Leeds Crown Court has now confirmed that the trial has been delayed until May 11 next year. https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/news/leeds-news/leeds-united-striker-mallik-wilks-16453409
I don't think that's the case at all. 2 reasons: 1. His mate tweeted in hysterics about the Spurs interest, as Clarke had just managed to get to join the local golf club. Hardly the action of someone champing at the bit to leave the club. 2. Just in the last week or so, someone tweeted Clarke asking if he was leaving or not. He replied, with the telling response "It's up to the club", or words to that effect, suggesting he had no say in the matter.
