Morning all I posted something similar on squad costs earlier in the week, to show how many teams were higher than us in the league after hardly spending anything. The cost of a squad to buy is one thing but if you add in the wages that will give you a better idea. Some players come on a freebie but then have higher wages for example....... Well done to the U18s who have now got to the play offs. All things are starting to look great under the 1st team squad, so good in fact we could be moving up into the top tier of Acadamies very soon. Shame the 1st team has dragged the club back onto the back pages for all the wrong reasons.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey Well it looks like we are after Kieran Westwood for a start he is a good keeper unfortunately he gets injured quite a lot so he would fit in nicely in the physio room Rumour has it that McBurnie wants to play for us I suspect we will have to pay out compensation to Swansea but at least the lad wants to play for us Marriott rumours still persist and I hope we sign him as well.Noiw a new face arises Henri Lansbury I thought that Villa got a bargain when they bought him from Forest for £2.75m I do hope we get him for the same a real aquistion and a driving force in mid field Well done to Accrington Stanley they have got promoted for the first time Finally Doc can you enlighten me about the first team getting on the back pages for the wrong reasons
Mike there are constant stories about who follows PH when Leeds sack him. Will Big Mick step into the Leeds cauldron, every paper in Yorkshire has a Leeds story too with every ex player, pundit giving us their thoughts. Radz takes stick too for sacking Tommy too soon
I think if you were going to sack PH its should have been done already and if he is still there at the end of the season he will still be there at the start of the next
Talking about ridiculous prices for very average UK players - how about Jordan Hugill who we were chasing until the price was mentioned. He went to West Ham and cant even get on the bench most weeks. One appearance in the nothing cup, here you go mate meet Sam Byram who thought he was too good but spends his time on the bench. Charlie Taylor cant even get into the Burnley side, managed 10 games on the bounce covering for an injured player who has been back and Charlie not been seen since. The gulf in class between the lower prem teams and the Championship isnt that big, so what does it say about some the 2 players many of our fans were crying about when they left, and those that wanted Hugill here.
A belated good morning to all, work prevailed unfortunately It's not just about how much money clubs spend although it does help as long it is spent wisely on players that are going to gel together Premiership salaries are a big pull for lower league footballers even if they are not good enough to sustain a first-team place Charlie Taylor & Sam Byram are very good championship players, obviously out of their depth at top level
We got Lucky selling byram when we did a one season wonder and has become a home quota squad filler because the prem rules are such.
I was never a HUGILL fan average at best but you can put me down for Marriott and the lad from Swansea I Think they would make a brilliant pairing in this division
Agree with that even though we would have to pay at least £5m for Marriot and young Ollie wont be cheap. WE also have Tyler Roberts to come back yet and we havent seen him yet. Is he worth the millions we spent on him plus we have at least 3 young strikers who need blooding at this level and lets face it they cannot do any worse than Ekuban. The problem here though is that the most experienced striker would be Marriot and the rest kids
Maybe we only pay for Forshaw, de bock, Roberts and Japanese Bremner after x amount of appearances hence why theyve all gone missing
https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-united-transfer-news-bosmans-14438811 Some players on here are not silly to look at especially in the lower reaches of the prem as some will be relegated anyway. Look especially at Newcastle who will deffo spend this time or lose Raffa, look at Palace, Brighton, Southampton etc and if Stoke go there will be a massive clear out which means all the better championship class players will be hoovered up. Still think we need to get the robot dancer as his career in the prem is now done
Its going to get bad for PH very soon https://www.footballtransfertavern....ds-fans-on-twitter-react-to-manager-comments/
Well done Leeds Utd. Its important for the young players to learn about the people less well off. Yes its PR, but its positive PR.
