Shouldn't be a problem with his work permit, then we wait to see which staff Bielsa brings in, then we wait to see who Bielsa wants to sign, then we wait for season to start.........it's all waiting still,lol.

First hurdle were over,will be looking forward to the rest of the race,it's gonna be a team imo the likes we havn't seen in 30 years ,i like to air on the side of caution btw on the other hand it could all go tits up,but in my opinion he is well worth the gamble .

 

His reputation suggests we have got one of the best coaches we could get.I'm looking forward to his first press conference to hear his plans. I hope his volatility has been exaggerated, we don't need that.

 

Think the delay has been around the application for Bielsa'a work permit. Let's be honest if we announced his appointment and then had to back track we would be in a very awkward position.

Hopefully our new friends at the FA have rubber stamped his application which is/was a necessity given his recent lack of employment.

Reports in South America indicate an announcement is imminent so fingers crossed.

If reports are true and it is Bielsa we are getting then let's hope it's a 3 year deal and he is given that time to build something.

Yes we all would like success in the first season and hopefully that is the case but it's majorly important the guy is given the time develop a team in his own image and that will be mean there will be set backs along the way. For once can we all get behind everyone involved in the club without looking for scapegoats every time things are less than perfect.

 

We were short odds this time last year too.They tend to increase as season progresses if you want to get a bet on at good odds

The good:
- ‘Genius’, master tactician
- Experience at the very top level of football
- A statement of intent by the management
- He made demands, if he’s coming, presumably we met them
- He studied the team at length, and should have an idea what it needs. Together with previous point this should be reassuring.
- has a rep for playing attractive football

The concerns:
- his recent form is like ours
- how will his ideas translate figuratively and literally to an English championship side
- his high pressing game is physically demanding. The champ is a marathon not a sprint
- if he feels the demands he made aren’t being met, he’ll walk
- it could be a very expensive gamble if it doesn’t work
