    Good Morning Everyone

The latest idiotic report to come from the rumour mill that that Leeds are going to see Kemar Roofe to Palermo in the January transfer window.

The article offers even less credence saying that a fee between £4.5m-5.4m should be enough to tempt Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani to cash in Leeds leading goal scorer.

Meanwhile talks between Roofe and Leeds Utd regarding extending his contract are expected shortly. According to Phil Hay, our leading talisman will need a 'chunky pay rise'.

Leeds U23's crushed Burnley's U23's yesterday at Turf Moor.

Leeds trailed twice in the game before taking control of the game scoring 6 goals, but conceding 3.

Bamford scored a well deserved hatrick, whilst Baker and Brown also got on the score sheet.

Surely this should mean Bamford will get game time on Saturday?

Given the choice, who would swap Roofe for Chris Wood?

Leeds target Baghdad Bounedjah may be available on the cheap!

Algerian outlet Le Buteur reported that Marcelo Bielsa was keen on the forward in the summer but the club were put off by Al Sadd’s £13.4million valuation.

The Algerian frontman has scored 55 times this year, including 26 league goals in his last 13 matches.

However, France Football are now claiming that this price tag has been cut to either €5million up front or via a loan that includes a clause to make the deal permanent.

Smells a bit fishy to me!!!

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

The Baghdad stuff has been posted a couple of times in the transfer sticky above, so either the stuff Elland has quoted from one news outlet was lifted from an old story I posted or it now has a few more legs?

Highlights from yesterdays top of the table clash with Burnley (Joint top) saw excellent performances from Harrison, yes Harrison was unplayable in the first half before coming off at half time. Jack Clarke was also a class act and ran rings around Burnleys defence and scored a brilliant individual goal which you can see on YouTube. Baker played well and scored, Izzy Brown excellent and scored and Bamford scored a hat trick but 2 of them were sublime and made Tom Heaton look silly. Hoping Brown and Bamford came through the 90 minutes feeling fit because both are now close to helping us out now.

Roofe (£4m-£5m) having a laugh. Wood went for a lot of cash and for me Roofe is better than Wood because hes not just a big lad lump up front, he moves he assists and stings defences. No way would we sell him for peanuts and I believe he will have a new upgraded contract shortly

    Morning all...

Chris Wood did a job for us, Roofe is currently doing a job, horses for courses. In this setup Roofe as we know it’s working.

Morning all......yet more lazy journalism trying to fill column inches, are we expected to believe that radz/orta would even listen to 4.5 - 5.5m for Roofe, I know it's pantomime season but that's stretching credibility too far.

Just been going over the transfer sticky above and then to check on the 4 strikers I have posted about to see if any more details have emerged. All has gone very quite on 3 of them.
    1. Prijavic: Orta has been in contact with his club in Summer 2017, December 2017, Summer 2018 and besides having him watched last month nothing has been mentioned anywhere.
    2. Ponce (played for Bielsa) no stories except rumors and then we know he was watched last month twice, but nothing heard since.
    3. Llorente (played for Bielsa) Much of this story was UK media based, some speculation and because his contract is running down, his relationship with Bielsa and Pochetino, but nothing has been heard for weeks.
Do we assume these 3 stories are now dead or are things under wrap for one of them?

Baghdad however may be slightly different as this story has been around since the Summer and was given credibility last month from a well known agent, a well known specialist and a well known and respected footballer. Ellands quote today could just be lifted or it could be more meaty.

2 transfer stories that wont go away are for a winger Bielsa can trust and 2 seem to be mentioned weekly and sometimes daily. Ibai Gomez (Played for Bielsa) and Lens who is in the news again yesterday and today. Both these were in the above sticky a few weeks back?

    Good morning all
Ridiculous journalism, why sell one of your best assets for 5m,you couldn't replace him like for like at that price, you would also then risk missing out on promotion, and the vast riches it in itself would bring,i for one don't believe a word of it,Radz/Bielsa are far to astute for this.
Totally agree with Ristac above about Wood/Roofe,each did/doing a particular great job for us under different set ups.

Roofe is worth more than £5m on this season performances & his record of 10 goals in 15 games.

That's my fear in January that big bids will come in for the likes of Jansson, Roofe or Phillips, should test our owners who are here to make good money as is the case with the majority of clubs

We certainly will lose one of them possibly all three if we are not promoted in May 2019

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey
Great to see our injured players scoring goals again with Heaton letting in 6 what are his chances of coming to Leeds now talking how important keepers are the Liverpool keeper kept them in the last 16 this is why we need a good keeper
I think that Brown and Bamford will play some part at Bolton
Roofe or Woods two very different type of players but I think Roofe is better for our system

Normally I'd agree with you, but I have a feeling in my water that we have tapped into a commodity that I though no longer had a place in football. Loyalty. Yup, remember loyalty?

I think most if not all of our squad are loyal to Bielsa, and would die for him. I suspect that they truly believe that they are on the way to greatness with him, and will win things with him. The alternative is to be bought, transferred to a strange club, playing a different system that they may not shine in, and ultimately perhaps not win anything. In short, the unknown. The only known factor would be more money. Which for most players is their main driving force.

So it comes down to a simple choice: stay with Bielsa with hope & ambition, or step into the unknown with money and the fear of failure.

    <applause><applause>

When your manager says in an interview to multiple media outlets live. I love my players....
Wow I would walk over broken glass for him, especially when he is making me a better player and that means a more valuable player and that in turn means a bigger wage for me later..

Selling Vieira in the summer against Bielsa's advice proves any of our players have their price in Rads eyes

The Baghdad story as I understand it is that Leeds tried to sign him either in the Summer of New Year but Leeds refused to meet the 13m fee.

Suddenly now they are saying that the player is available at a cut price of circa 5m.

Why would they suddenly drop the price by 60%?

Do they urgently NEED to offload the player in January?

Is the players contract coming to an end?

He didn't have to go. He had a contract. It was ultimately his choice.

I agree that we haven't missed him. I do wonder if he would have the discipline to fit into Bielsaball - he deffo was struggling pre-season. Then again, didn't he turn out at LB or something daft?

As for the contract, ultimately all players can say no, but they go for the easy life if they want to play football, so leave. But no matter how much they get bullied into it, they still have the power of veto. I don't believe any player who says he didn't have a choice. They all do, but I guess they're being practical. Usually it's the manager that wants you out, so there's deffo no point in staying, as you won't get played, but Vieira's case wasn't normal - the manager apparently wanted him to stay & the owner just saw ££. Wonder what would have happened if he's stayed? Would Bielsa have played him or cowed to Radz? I think i know the answer.
