As usual anything To do with Europe gets screwed up and because 12 different countries are involved its never going to happen. Teams will not be allowed into some countries, fans will not be allowed into some venues, so basically they need to cancel again and that means they will go almost out of business because they rely on ticket sales and advertising and sponsors. Oh wait a minute show me a country who will have all adults and many kids vaccinated by June. Yeah only the UK can do it, so it will happen but unfortunately ER will not be used as the whole pitch and drainage needs digging up and rebuilding then a new pitch laid ready for the new season
Edmondson started again for Northampton lets hope he finally gets off the mark. Stevens on the bench again for Bradford and no sign of Hosannah Alfie started again for Oldham Gotts on the bench for Salford, maybe giving him a rest, but hes been their best player
There is a way we could relay the pitch & host Euro 2020 group matches (if needed). Personally I wouldn't do it, but maybe some would see it as necessary so we don't get overlooked for future England games and a possible WC in 2030. Oops nearly forgot...just play the last 2 home League games at a neutral venue. We should be safe by then and with no fans does it make that much of a difference ? Ok maybe 9000 fans might be allowed in against WBA (last game) but I'd rather we all went back together anyway. Last home fixture at ER would therefore be April 24th allowing enough time before the tournament starts on 11th June.
Will check in with my nephew to see how long it takes to dig up the old foundations, drains and undersoil heating then rebuild and relay and bed in be back later if he gets the bottle out of his hand tonight
Nephew says it needs a full 8 weeks, so end of Euros only leaves 6 weeks which could mean we do a couple of group games and then start?
please log in to view this image Neutral venues? Similar to my first thought when I heard about this, only I was thinking we could get started right away. Like you say, there's no particular advantage playing 'at home' at the moment, plus the fact that our current pitch is shiite, so why not?
They announced my daughter's birth live on TV when we played at Arsenal on 17th March 1991. It was the first Leeds game I'd missed home or away for 7 years. I'd recorded it off the tv then found out the recording had lost the sound so was gutted. Eventually a kind person on Linkedin sent me a copy of the recording again but sadly was told that if I played it online for anyone to see, I would be sued!,
Wolves battered 4-1 now have a minus 9 goal difference too. Should have been -10 but good Bamford goal ruled out on VAR because if armpit. ****
