I see a lot of people blaming our attack and yes we’ve missed a lot of chances however we conceded 3 sloppy goals against Fulham, it was so easy for them to score yet we always have to work really hard to create a half decent chance. If our defending was better we’d have got 3 points against Fulham and a point each in the Arsenal and Leicester games. Yes we need a striker as Rodrigo isn’t the answer we thought he’d be, Bamford isn’t fully fit and may never be and Gelhardt looks good but I don’t think he’s fit enough. There’s got to be a reason why he’s not started it starting with 2 managers now. We can’t keep trying to out score opponents in the PL, defence needs to be better in this league. Have we even conceded that many good goals without poor errors?
But that's why we have two defensive midfielders. We're too narrow, and our wing backs are not good enough to compensate.
We play with full backs and use a flat back 4 Elland. There are no wing backs in our system. We then have 2 holding midfielders, an attacking midfielder, 2 half wingers (as Jesse calls them), and a centre forward.
