I really like Cooper. He loves Leeds and nothing would make me happier than seeing him captain us in the prem for a few seasons taking us into Europe, but like most I aren't 100% sure he's Permier League quality. On paper Koch and Llorente are on another level but as they say the game isn't played on paper. At least if we get Llorente in it isn't the end of the world if one of the three struggles to step up.

I can't help thinking Christian Erikson on loan might suit us. Conte doesn't want him at Inter, any thoughts?

When I say a number 10 I actually mean an attacking midfield player who could slot in behind the striker, I see Harrison and Costa as the obvious out wide players, Klich box to box, Phillips defensive and directing play and then we need someone who kind of does what they want, they have a more free creative role, that was obviously Pablo and to some extent Roberts but that position needs addressing

Nothing flash here and could be a more refined version of Cooper, but he can also play RB

Yep something like that...but not exactly a free role as there will always defensive duties, Pablo seems to understands that side of things far better than Roberts does.

As I've said before we need someone of the ilk of a Gary McCallister, or dare I say the great Johnny Giles.

If the Llorente deal happens it will cost us almost £20m, so more than Koch and that dilutes the tranny budget down to £30m so maybe the reason we are now dealing with Atalanta and Fiorentina rather than Udinese for a cheaper De Paul. But I say again if we want De Paul we need to pay them £31.2m end of story as they have reduced their asking price. That deal could be done today if Leeds are serious

    Agree.

If we could clone Klich we'd be on to a winner.

Story in Spain is that Llorente deal could be done today as Spanish club want to sell and have a left side midfield replacement lined up and dont need a CB. Money as usual holding things up as he cost only €9m but everyones a greedy git and we could end up paying £20m

Media dont have a clue about the Pablo replacement as we await white smoke form Udinese, Fiorentina, Atalanta, AC Milan Norwich, Rangers,Brentford, Bournemouth Liverpool, Porto, Benfica, Rennes......

Looks like we now have the prospect of an all International back 3 ready when Bielsa wants to play 3 at the back. May well be the best back 3 in the Premier League

Think Llorente means Douglas has no way back into the first team so becomes surplus to Bielsa’s plans. Lets be frank hes not been a big part of the team for 2 seasons. Cody Dramah not far off, Leif Davies not far off as well as having Struijk, Dallas and Alioski

So, has Bielsa's 'softening' to the idea of another centre back, hardened since he saw us leak 7 goals in 2 games? Or is this just a common sense signing of proven top level cb who can also cover for Phillips - something he previously liked White for. Can't say I know the guy but have to say from what i've read, I'd be very happy with this if it comes off.

Think he's right footed Doc so surely seen more as:
competition for koch - back up for phillips and ayling - perfect for a back 3 when he chooses to play it.
