Good Morning. It's Tuesday 21st January, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. Andre Gray deal still in the balance After initially turning Leeds down, it seems Watford may have had a change of heart with reference to allowing Andre Gray to go out on loan at Elland Road. The news came via an unusual source; not the YEP, not even Phil Hay. The story was broken by Leeds sponsors 32Red via their twitter account. The tweet (which has since been deleted) read as follows:- The rumours that Andre Gray is moving closer to a switch to Elland Road are growing by the minute. It's thought the deal will be a £2m initial loan signing, with an option to buy in the summer#LUFC pic.twitter.com/EM6DZTBYR3 — 32Red (@32Red) January 20, 2020 Why would, and what business is it of our sponsor to come out with information like that, unless of course they're involved.......... You may recall that 32Red bankrolled Wayne Rooney's move to Pride Park, and although the deal created all kinds of criticism, the EFL made a statement last week saying no rules had been broken! With this being the case, are 32 Red about to put their hands in their pockets once more to help fund the 2m loan fee, and £80,000 per week wage bill? Meanwhile, Leeds have not given up on trying to persuade Southampton to part with Che Adams. The news delivered via Phil Hay's podcast suggests there is 'wriggle room” to put a deal together. Other sources claim Leeds are ready to put together a package to bring Hull's highly rated versatile winger Jarrod Bowen to West Yorkshire. The deal would involve 3m in loan fees, and a 15m Summer transfer fee. please log in to view this image Dermot Gallagher - It happened too quickly for the ref to see An ex Premier league referee has defended the referee in Saturdays clash between QPR and Leeds Utd Peter Bankes missed two handballs by Nahki Wells in the lead up to his 20th minute winner. Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has claimed that the incident happened too quickly for the referee to see. "The problem with this is it happened so quickly," he said. "He handled it with both hands. The referee didn't see it. "With VAR in the Premier League it would have been disallowed immediately. VAR was going to come in, it's come in to the Premier League and that's the starting point, whether it will cascade down [we don't know]." After the game, Bielsa was quoted as saying:- "In football you have a lot of situations you cannot manage," said Bielsa. "Sometimes those kind of situations damage a team or play in favour of a team. Today everything that you cannot manage in a match was against us." In the same way a player can be reprimanded for diving after the conclusion of a game; shouldn't the same penalty or worse be in place for someone who deliberately and blatantly cheats in order to give their side an advantage? please log in to view this image Emre Mor deal dead as Leeds refuse to do business with Galatasaray Leeds can forget about putting a deal together to bring Turkish international forward Emre Mor to Elland Road. Mor is contracted to Celta Vigo, but have no control over his future until the end of the season. The decision lies with his loan club Galatasaray. Leeds refuse to have any dealings with the Istanbul Club since that fateful day in 2000. Why Leeds didn't pack their bags and refuse to play the game still bothers me today! please log in to view this image
Morning! Any of these player would do I suppose. Adams would be my first choice, then Bowen, and finally Gray. I would have though it would unsettle the squad if they get Gray and pay his silly Premiership wages? Nothing near anyone else's wages to be fair! On a different note, good to see West Brom have lost their MoJo as well with their loss of form recently. We just need to get back to winning ways asap and go on a run. I have everything crossed!
Morning all. Grays first eight weeks will be spent doing 20k a day runs up and down hills and 10 hours a day studying Bielsaball and Bamford videos. At the end of that Bielsa will stick him on the subs bench
Start any new signing immediately and drop Bamford to ten. Let Pablo share winger duties part time with whoever. All a new striker has to do is shoot or head at the onion bag.
Bowen would be my pick...playing regularly scoring in this division... though arguably the others are more out and our strikers. If only we could get Bowen and Adams.
If only! That would be amazing.. Just what we need.. "Looks out of the windows and sees a pig flying by"
Are fans starting to show rad, they won't put up with no investment ? Millwall looks like being the first home league game this season not to sell out, maybe losing cash might stir him into doing something.
With our present form the fans will start staying away, and who can blame'em in all honesty. Only winning results, or a good unbeaten run will bring'em back. I'm suspecting we'll take 7 to 9 points from next 3 matches, hopefully Poveda starts and shows us what he can do. Nothing like a new player who has a point to prove playing on adrenalin. But, knowing Bielsa he will stick with his stubborn streak and pick same team minus the nomad.
Chesh, is not a sellout because Millwall fans travel to away games on a skateboard or our prawn sandwich supporters club are on a mid season skiing holiday?
Morning DJ As we get more desperate, the prices will continue to go up. If Bielsa has treated Nketiah properly, we would not be in this position. During the period Nketiah was banging the goals in for us and England, Bielsa should have had no option but to start with him, even if it meant changing formation. Thats what happens. If you play well well as a substitute, you get promoted to the starting XI but as Nketiah was ignored, his mentality changed. Even if he scored a hattrick, it wouldn't have made a difference.

Doing the same with Edmondson, face doesn't fit, so he's never going to get a chance, big lad scores goals and was better than some of the kids we are playing now 2 years back.
