Love Farke as he's absolutely brilliant and just feel we'll all be 'dancing on the tables' come the end of the season. Not even bothered if Bambi & Rutter aren't fit for Sunday as we still have enough in the squad to give it a right good go.
Yes of course we're better off without a proven Championship goalsorer. It's a new season in a lower standard of football so highly likely that our players will feel more comfortable than trying to operate in the rarified air of the PL. Come on man of Wakefield try and be a bit more positive
Therein lies our problem. Just because Bamford was prolific two, three, four years ago, it doesn't make him fit for purpose this season. He's looked far from sharp, unimpressive fitness levels and more than a little disinterested. The only shot he put away this pre-season was a back pass to his feet, with no defender within 50 yards, with only the keeper to beat. Milky would have scored it!!!
8 goals last two seasons says it all really... Pathetic stats sadly he is broken. Pity because if fit he would have been good for the bench.
Billy Paynter is a proven championship goal scorer. A fit Paddy got 16 goals with an xg of 24 last time out in the champ. Can we afford such profligacy Jambo?
Bamford is as fit as Dallas. Difference is Dallas will be match fit again some day. Bamford hasn’t been for two years and counting
Not disagreeing but until we have better then it's preferable that he's fit for selection. Brother Wakey however does not concur.
