Here’s a question. If it’s that simple to put an unknown coach with no experience in charge and avoid relegation, why does anyone bother paying millions for services of top coaches. Make no mistake about it, this is the usual cheap option. Third time the clowns have tried it

As I see it, Iraola has no PL experience or how hard it is, No English Experience, only has 5 seasons as a coach and knows zero about any of our players or the teams in this division - Big Gamble

Skubala knows the players, has English experience, knows the other teams we will be facing but is let down by experience of coaching at a high level, he does have Armas to fall back on for help - Big Gamble but at this stage of the season, a better option

What do you want the coach to do between now and the end of the season or lets say the next two months, win games obviously but what do you want him to do with the team. When you think about what you expect a coach to do mid season, then ask yourself how well equipped is Iraola to deliver that expectation

He has no idea about the PL, the teams we will face, their style of play, our own players, who plays what position or formation. What is it you expect Iraola to do that Skubala won't

I’d expect a coach with experience to stamp a style of play to get us winning and keep us up. Jesse managed it with an inferior squad apparently. And how much does Skubala really know about our players as he was the U21 coach, also doubt he spent much time scouting premier league opponents and if what you say is true then why wasn’t he appointed as soon as JM was sacked? Because he was never a consideration until we made an absolute shambles of replacing Jesse, is why, in my opinion. I’m sorry but where we differ in opinion is I believe a coach with a promotion to a major European league and taking a club to a challenge for a champions league place might be less of a gamble than the England under 16, 17 and 18’s futsal coach.

    some good points well made

the counter argument is that he’s shown he can set up a team in the last week, the players like him, they really tried for him etc etc. At least that will the story in Dumbest’s next programme notes. But it’s bollox really.
