Just seen his interview on Sky BLM Sports presented by that smug looking sanctimonious coloured fellow and I thought it was just another PC assassination. Absolutely pathetic.<grr>

If coloured, lifechoice and saying young girls don't like the ball hit hard at them is a sack able offence, we really are in **** town. Are these coloured players who break covid restrictions, going to be sacked..........:)

If I'm honest if I was black, I'd rather be known as black than coloured, but I think what has to be considered here is, people of a certain age referred to any non white as coloured because they believed calling them black or whatever was offensive, even though it's not pc nowadays I don't think it deserves the outrage it gets.

Spot on Gessa, but you've grown up in an area or region where a lot of Irish and blacks(multi cultural) lived, so you would know at first hand. There was nothing like that growing up in Dublin. The thing that winds me up is watching the Sky presenters with their blm badges on next to the poppy. :(

<ok> I just find that they are supporting a group who are attacking and defacing War Memorials, insulting those that died to give them the chance to do this. It's hypocrisy at it's highest.<grr>

It certainly helps growing up in an ethical diverse area, funny you mention the Irish, black communities, growing up I remember how well the Irish and Black community pretty much well got on with each other, in Birmingham, the Irish were welcome in many what were considered Black only pubs, I suppose they were united in their feelings of prejudice. I remember my parents saying they had to leave one area of Wolverhampton because of the abuse they got for being ' ****ing Paddies'.

One of the best players to play for England but should have many many more caps was a WBA player who was part of the “3 Degrees” which nobody would be allowed to say these days in the media. That player was known as the “Black Pearl” Laurie Cunningham. Today would be called the coloured pearl or the BAME pearl..... what the actual fk. All driven by a lefty media which reflect a minority view yet what they say goes :emoticon-0121-angry

He died in a car crash. I remember hating Leeds Utd playing against them because a lot of the time we got beaten. Was it the League cup that we seemed to play them around 3 times before a result?

Morning all. I think we have reached rock bottom in race relations if calling a black player coloured is "shameful language". How can any sane person be upset by that? To try to turn it into a left/right issue is even more ridiculous

Amazing really that Ron Atkinson who discovered fantastic black players and brought them through at WBA and at Villa with Dalian Atkinson and he gets sacked for so called racist remarks on telly. Atkinson had spent his life as a football coach making sure black kids got a fair shake. Indeed Atkinson brought through more black kids than any other football club at that time.

Would love to hear their definition of 'bottom of the armpit'. I've tried looking it up & it ain't as simple as they're trying to make out.

Peter Crouch would have been offside every time as his arms are as long as his body, so he could be stood near the halfway line but offside ffs. The laws of football are simple yet last season and this hey have frigged it all up. Last season we had a goal disallowed after hitting the back of the net almost as Hawkeye wasn't switched on. Remember that one they even forgot to turn Hawkeye on so an obvious goal was chalked off even though the ref and linesman could clearly see.

My thoughts too, it’s not the like the n word which has deliberately negative connotations. I used to say coloured a long time ago for the reasons you say... a black friend of mine, advised me differently.

I think the point here is, someone in a high profile position in the public eye should know better. It’s right he falls on his sword, but the ‘outrage’ is out of proportion.
