I posted this before a while back. Hay, Pope & O'Rourke all posted that we should be 20-25 million inside FFP rules. Obviously I can't know or verify where they get their information from.
Tbf Mighty, how many clubs let the fans know what's really going on. The rest of your post is spot on..
100 percent. It was more like a comment that FFP played a part but wasn't the main reason which was obviously raising capital
fair comment m8ty and of course youre right guess we all make our own assumptions and probably a million miles away from the real facts
Can't see how we are anywhere near ffp limits. 17/18 we lost 4.3 million, that leaves nearly £35 million for losses last and the next season. This season we have sold £15 million more than we've bought so far. Not a fookin chance we are anywhere near.
I see Danny Mills has come out with what he says is the real reason Jannson has been sold, he says Jannson kept asking for more time off than any other player,Bielsa kept saying no, but Jannson wouldn't let it go and Bielsa said enough is enough, I don't want a player with his attitude at the club. Makes sense, Same happened last season, and Jannson never played first few games as a result.
Sadly, I could see this as the trigger - an instance where Pontus felt justified in insisting on more time off and Bielsa felt it showed a lack of commitment, since last year was the same. Why the necessity to sell him for 4m in 48 hours though, with a month to go in the window? Bring in a quality replacement, then take your time and sell, let him stew in the meantime.
And therein lies the problem, methinks. Looks like money is so tight (perhaps allocated, but not yet spent) that they simply have to sell before getting someone else in. Would have been lovely to make him stew, but we possibly might have ended up being stuck with him & no replacement.
Just goes to show you how unintelligent and low IQ'd Brentford fans are, how else is he going to write.
Ok, so why not use that 3 weeks and another 3 if necessary to drum up interest and get a market value?
Somebody panicked or maybe brentford came with a decent sum up front. Same as buying a used car mate hold out your cash to the dealer and you get a discount.
It just sounds to me that someone wanted to get rid of Pontus, and quick, maybe to avoid disruption in the dressing room.
Looking at who tweeted him goodbye and good luck, I’m wondering if Bielsa felt he was too outspoken, maybe the dressing room had a for and against Pontus camp. This is where we miss a Strachan or Vinnie type captain.
