Afternoon all. Looks like the Roofe out Kent in thing is going to happen, and if it does I think that’s the missing piece in the jigsaw.

Bielsa will be able to mould him into the goal scorer we need, and he’ll be capable of stepping up if we do get promoted which Roofe could not do.

Any more incoming would be a bonus, especially Nolan.

I’m not so worried about Casilla - he might lose us a few points like many of our other players, this is the Championship after all and mistakes are to be expected, but he will likely to win us more than he costs us. No perfect keepers out there at this level.

    <ok>

According to David Ornstein you are pushing hard for Eddie Nketiah on loan. I would love to see him come to you as I rate bielsa as a manager and think he would get game time as well as do a job for you.

FYI he’s excited me more than most arsenal youngsters have in the past 10 years.

Seems both Kent and the Arsenal striker are almost done deals, its seems we are trying for both

Oh and just updated the last post and first post in the transfer sticky because LDB is in Greece with Aris and being loaned out for the season. Confirmed by Thursday

Perm any two from Costa, Kent, Clarke and Harrison firing balls in to Bamford or Nekatiah.

    Yeah, nice. <cool>

Well that would count as results all round.

Re Nketiah... Wary of pinning hopes on young strikers replacing proven ones, but sounds like a prospect. Colidio still on radar?

I'm reading we have dropped interest in Kent, we only want him if the Nketiah loan deal falls through, we better get at least one of these over the line. Me personally, I'd prefer Nketiah as he is an out and out striker rather than Kent who Bielsa will need to work with and convert

If it's going to be Kent on a permanent or Nketiah on a season-long loan, which would you choose?

Kent for me - I have a feeling he'll be worth 5 times the asking price in 2 years with Bielsa.

Number 27 out of the door as Tom Pearce is moving to Barnsley for £800k making that number 4 at Oakwell and a nice £33.5m brought in

Nketiah for me, we need a goal scorer and promotion this season, if we fail this season we'll lose Bielsa, Phillips and probably a few more. I actually would prefer Bielsa's first choice and I'm hoping it is the Arsenal guy.

I just don't believe we have got time to convert Kent into a striker as well as well as getting up to Bielsa speed

I'm reading we want Kent for a low fee with add ons for promotion and sell ons and a few other clauses.

One article hit the nail on the head for me, Kent will require more up front Nketiah will mean the Roofe money can be banked.
