The Bosman ruling gave the players too much power. Some of these players should remember where they were before they joined Leeds United.
Is this a multi account....because you're sounding a lot like Glory...so if he stays will you be the eejit
Just don't wake him up....oops gone off subject again. On paper this has a roasting by Fulham, but Leeds Utd tend to get results when little is expected of them..
Thats only something that existed back when we were young Shaks. Loyalty works both ways.Clubs are quick enough to move players on if they can make a quick buck, transfer deadline day a perfect example.Players are simply employees these days
I knew exactly what you were going to say in your reply. Clubs can't just move them on though, years ago yes. The player can sit on his arse, go on strike or play in the reserves and collect his money until either he forces a move or gets his contract fully paid up. Contracts are worth anything and certainly work in favour of the player.
Sounds like you're expecting a shafting rather than a pasting if you are looking to get lubed up first!!
Remember when we were all pleased that the club had gone for Michael Brown, the sort of experienced midfielder any club with ambitions wants ....... He refused to come because he had 12 months left on his prem contract and found it easier sitting on his arse not even on the bench because Pompy couldnt afford to play him and if they did it triggered a pay rise, so they had him running around doing laps with the kids for a year. Hate that so hated him when he finally came but loyalty is dead. We now have players with 4 year deals sitting around in slippers with a big cigar on, they should be busting a gut for the 30,000 fans who scream their names every game.
In this day and age there is no such thing as loyalty. I think Janson has done well to stick with us this long. We can't offer much to any player who has ambition at the moment so why shouldn't he look elsewhere if the offers are there. I don't want him or Saiz to leave as they are our best players but I wouldn't hold it against them if they did leave.
Heyup Elland, Big Mick for me, straight talker, to the point no nonsense person, a true Yorkshire man. Warnock is a two faced tosser who I personally wouldn’t get tired of kicking him
It's funny how loyalty in the football game has changed. Players and fans used to be loyal, and owners rarely showed any loyalty to either. Now loyal owners are like hens teeth, as are loyal players. Not unexpected, tbh. The worrying trend for me is the failing loyalty of so many fans. At one time you loved your club and kept going to matches no matter what was happening. It was love. Now we have fans more and more saying that they won't be renewing, going to fewer games etc. UNLESS the owner buys them success. We could be looking at the death throes of the game as we know it. Discuss.
Not sure that's right WJ our fan base has held up much better in the second league, than it did in the 80s.plastics always come and go. Look how many plastic wallies have come out of the woodwork since xmas,Ringo was last of the wallies in December.
