We have 17 players out on loan and the most succesful is Coyle, but I think he wont be playing for the 1st team especially if we get promoted. The other players who are doing ok are Cibicki, Grot is in and out but not a first team regular, Wilks is older than Clarke, Edmondson and Dalby but not in their league so not be at Leeds next season. Kitching is doing well and should be back. Denton has been a disaster so not be a Leeds player. Ideguchi is the gold but managed to injure himself You are correct as loan players usually go out to get better and experience but we have 3 Chelsea players who will never play for Chelsea, they have 57 players out on loan, its a business today. Some exceptions can be had like the kid at City, the one from Liverpool and Everton with the double barrel striker Clavin whater. We had Barry Bannon, Livermore, and more who were so so for us but now sold off and still in the Prem except for Bannon. From our 17 we will probably only have 5 next season and 2 of thise are crocked
I'd be managing the team if i knew that, my job is to criticise. Biesla gets paid handsomely and is the genius he really should have the answer.
It’s a good question fella. Personally I don’t think it’s one size fits all. For outfield players if they’re young you’re trying to get experience for them so you can decide if they are going to make it. Thereafter, you might just be helping with the wage bill and putting them in the shop window. This may have changed a bit with bielsa’s Idea of 2 for each position and an u23 (although generally it’s 2 for each position plus having players who cover more than one position) plus an U23. Other considerations are that it’s easier to get a loan deal for someone who has had first team experience than a raw u23 who hasn’t. I think it’s seen as less of a risk to blood an outfield player than a keeper... so they like to get keepers out on loan BUT they can be hard to place if they have no experience.. and you run a high risk of them not getting game time as keepers are less likely to be chopped and changed. .. eg Blackman.
