Wonder if it’s something to do with the twitter story leaking that he had been dropped for Forshaw Twitter in meltdown on the news that Phillips has been dumped into the U23s
No shakleton though and he has not been used in first team. Rads will sell this summer you can smell it coming. Offers for players will be accepted.
Definitely nothing to do with keeping fitness up. Something we’re not privileged to has happened, I’d imagine being sold to Southampton for £20m maybe Bielsa has said he’ll stay on and he’s happy to sell Phillips for big bucks in order to bring some others in? Saying that we’ve got the play offs it just doesn’t make sense
Perhaps they know he won't be signing a new contract and it's got personnal, MB being told from above, not to play him. Just a thought.
Thought he had taken a knock in the previous game? Either way, our poor form usually coincides with Phillips not playing. Why cut your nose off to spite your face when we have a definite playoff place and an admittedly miracle need for an auto?
Jusr wondering though. Have we got to the Championship play offs for the first time since 2006 or have we been relegated?
Bielsa has said Forshaw for Phillips against Brentford was tactical when asked why he had been dropped. Phil Hay on Twitter said something along the lines of it is usual Bielsa procedure to play players who hadn't been selected for the U23s to keep fitness levels up. Dozens then jumped in with replies of why has Shackleton not been picked, why has Roofe not built up fitness levels and surely being dropped for one week is no different from an International break
Been watching U23s and they are two down. Playing like first team. Too many passes and slow build up and no many chasing back. Its all gone tippy tappy.
Fair enough. I thought it was Hay or the other one that said he had taken a knock. Whenever I see Forshaw he seems to get caught in possession a lot. Didn't see the Brentford game so can't comment.
Sounds like it. There's still the playoffs. Only need to find form for three games. Fingers crossed Grealish gets injured in the last two games.
