Just disappointed with the downfall of our form in 2019 after being top of the table at Christmas-time & in the top two for much of the season. Losing 9 in our last 17 games tells the story, those losses v Hull Birmingham, QPR, Stoke & Forest were extremely poor so we were always vulnerable to more poor performances/results as was the case v Wigan & Brentford. If you are a automatic promotion side you should be winning these games or at least getting a point from them just as the blunts & the canaries have done throughout the second-half of the season. I actually predicted us to finish 3rd on another forum so yes I should be ecstatic however I feel very disappointed, very annoyed we didn't show a bit more ambition in the January transfer window as the writing was on the wall that we required a bit more quality in our squad but hey-ho that's all water under the bridge now
January Transfer Window Compare us to Sheffield United https://www.skysports.com/transfer/...ll-the-deals-from-the-january-transfer-window Jake Young (Guiseley), Oliver Norwood (Brighton), Kieran Dowell (Everton, loan), Gary Madine (Cardiff, loan), Scott Hogan (Aston Villa, loan) those were some shrewd moves
Our great man & scouts should have found suitable cover for Pablo so we could rest his old legs when needed, poor bloke has carried us for much of the season, look drained & weary in our last few games, are we not surprised? Hernandez is still capable of playing in the premiership, wouldn't be surprised if a prem club offers him a year/two year contract if we fail in the play-offs. I wouldn't blame him if he left Leeds, he given all to our club
I was shocked when rumours came out yesterday morning that Phillips would be dropped Could be to do with the £20m bid on the table from Southampton there again Bielsa has suggested in his interviews that he is a big admirer of Forshaw AF our defensive midfielder who wanders all out of the place next season
Quite correct - and also £100M dosh this season and another £50M next season to go with it. What did you get out of last season other than an oddball who sits on a dust bin?
That's just the point - we didn't spend it and in all honesty that may be the reason we look like coming down. Still, Mr. Tan has converted over £80M of his loans into equity (so far) and you can't use parachute payments (£50M next season ) to reduce debt - it has to be spent on running costs and ours aren't very high at all having spent fck all this season. Arter on loan was by far our top earner on £40K and he won't be around next season in the Championship. Anyway, I came over here to offer my support to you guys not defend my club.
Norwood was the steal. We were linked with him in the summer... he was available for peanuts. That said, it was a position we weren't really short in. Couldnt see bielsa playing Madine somehow!
