Good morning and one crucial fact missing as i believe it is someones birthday marcelo Bielsa born july 21st 1955.
Good morning. I really feel sorry for Berra. One of my favourite players but I was surprised they were going to offer him another year anyway to be honest. Even if he recovers in nine months I can't see him getting a Prem game next season. I hope the club reward him in some way but at his age he might prefer to return to Italy/Switzerland and be with his family. It's nice to finally have a transfer window we can get excited about. We might actually but someone on a permanent rather than a loan-to-buy! It looks like Jack Harrison will come on loan to Leeds next season having already played 82 games for the club. Surely something has to be done to stop the top clubs holding onto all these young players and loaning them out indefinitely?
Give Berardi a new contract, maybe a reduced wage, get him fixed up. In the meantime use him in the community, visiting, schools, hospitals, fan forums etc to further build that connection from the club to the fans alongside his recovery. He can earn in more ways than just playing.
Morning all, I suppose we'll be linked with lots of players over the coming months, Radz said it will be quality over quantity so I'm imagining 3, 4 at the most. And we've seen in the past 2 years, the signings we've made haven't been linked with us,prior to them signing. The most important signing will be Bielsa, they need to get that done first.
Morning all - looks like your neighbours 'Ull have had a lifeline pulled..................... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-Wednesday-AVOID-relegation-Championship.html
Seriously though it's a bit of a sword of Damocles hanging over Wednesday, Wigan and Derby. There should be some sort of statute of limitations for the EFL to get their act together. Put up of shut up.
And it's not just the clubs that might get a point deduction you have to be concerned about just think about poor old Hull, Charlton and Barnsley worrying about how many points they have to get to avoid the drop Oops and Luton, Birmingham and Boro
Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday to AVOID relegation from the Championship as a result of financial dealings with points deductions to be imposed next season Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday are to avoid relegation from the Championship Clubs both face points deductions as a result of financial dealings The prospect of appealing the decision will affect the relegation battle Barnsley, Luton, Charlton, Birmingham and Boro are still in danger Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday are set to avoid relegation from the Championship as a result of their financial dealings with any points deductions imposed by the EFL's independent panel to be applied next season. The verdicts in both cases are due imminently, but as both clubs would have the right of appeal if found guilty there is little prospect of the punishment affecting the relegation battle that will reach a climax on Wednesday evening, with Barnsley, Luton, Charlton, Birmingham and Middlesbrough all in danger of dropping into League One. Bottom-club Hull appear doomed, but could still survive if the beat Cardiff and other results go their way. Wigan are facing the prospect of being docked 12 points for going into administration, while Wednesday could lose a maximum of 21 points after being accused of an aggravated breach of the EFL's profit and sustainability rules, punishments which if applied immediately would see them plunged into the relegation zone. Both clubs would have the right to appeal against such sanctions however, and given the amount of time required to complete such disciplinary proceedings it is unlikely the process would be completed before the start of next season. While the relegation issues should be finalised on Wednesday the Championship season does not finish until the play-off final on 4 August, with the formal transfer of clubs between the divisions taking place the following week. The EFL have confirmed that the bottom three clubs in the Championship on Wednesday evening will be relegated subject to other on-going disciplinary proceedings, but there is little prospect they will be completed by the mid-August deadline. While several clubs have criticised the EFL over the lack of clarity the confusion has been compounded by the delayed finish to the season caused by Covid-19, without which there would have been no prospect of any point deductions being applied this season.
