Hope you get well soon, Norm. And hopefully the team will win the next few games at a canter to take the pressure off your old ticker.
I’m not saying I buy into the 2 per position strategy. I’d have liked an extra centre back, extra striker, extra wideman and an extra midfielder. Mb likes to play around with other players in the back 3... he thinks Phillips, Ayling etc can play there whilst others cover for them. For me it’s playing players out of position unnecessarily and means changing numerous players to cover for a shortfall in one position... but he thinks the pros out way the cons. The hardest one to cover for... by which I mean greatest impact on result.. is striker. Re Swansea... yes centrebacks cost us at Swansea.. but in reality we were outnumbered and outplayed in midfield for large portions of that game, which would have put whatever centrebacks we had out under a lot of pressure.
Milky with regard to 2 players per position, if there was another player the wage bill would increase by a minimum of £3.5m pa based upon only £6k per week per player. The striker issue shows you could be correct as Riberts had 4 good chances as 3rd choice striker and missed all but Roofe/Bamford would have scored at least one of them. However so far this season we have 9 different scorers which is a first for us and shows that Bielsaball is alien to us and how we think about football. Bielsa does things different. Classic case is a useless headless winger from Liverpool who went to Man City was useless there until Pep got him and all of a sudden he scores over 20 goals in a season and hes not a striker just plays Bielsaball. I think we just need to let him get on with it for now and hope he hasnt underestimated the rigours of this league. He has a spare player already ghough in Dallas as he said weeks ago Dallas can play full back, wing back, wing and even holding midfield ( he was going to spend time coaching this position) so he obviously likes Dallas
Not arguing doc... the guy has us top of the league after, on paper, a challenging set of fixtures. He can play bpf up front, Saiz in goal, make us play in red for all I care if his methods work Ok maybe not the play in red bit
Lets not forget Micah Richards, £55k per week and as hardly kicked a ball for them. Still another 9 months on his contract.
Agree I think we required another commanding CB Phillips & Berardi have been playing as part of a back three & both have impressed me tbh. So glad we had Cooper & Jansson fit v Millwall to cope with the lions aerial threat. Ayling is no CB, playing him in a central role takes away all his work rate & energy down the right flank. McBurnnie was allowed to bully us at Swansea due to the lack height & physical presence of Pontus & Cooper
Preston injury/suspension problems Preston are without suspended midfield pair Ben Pearson and Ryan Ledson, as well as Calum Woods and Sean Maguire (both hamstring). Alan Browne is still recovering from a calf strain sustained on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.
Ditto. We joke about how being a Leeds fan is a recipe for heart surgery... but you’re not meant to take it literally! Get well soon norm ... hope the boys can give you a morale boost tonight.
Cheers milky Lufc have got a lot to answer for but a win would be a great start tonight Cheers shako. A win tonight would certainly boost my recovery

Story for you, Norm (Imagine me without a story! ). I was reading Billy McNeil's autobiography a few years ago (first British captain to win the European Cup), and he wrote about having his bypass. Graeme Souness came to visit him & told Billy that there was a very unusual consequence that often happened after a bypass - that you find yourself becoming quite emotional, even teary, often with no real reason. As Billy said - imagine Souness, of all people, making a confession like that! And oddly enough, Billy - no slouch in the hard man department himself - was similarly afflicted. He had never cried as an adult, but found himself welling up regularly, & crying uncontrollably on occasion. I thought it was a great story, right up until I got myself a stent. Hadn't cried since I was 12 (I still miss my wee dug Hamish), and even to this day, I still well up at the strangest things. It can be good news or bad, something silly on the telly, a touching word form a grandson, anything (well, except hitting your thumb with a hammer, for instance - too busy bloody swearing to cry!). Haven't managed to shed any tears yet, but it may just be a matter of time. Moral of the story? Be prepared to humiliate yourself for no apparent reason!
