    Good Morning Everyone

Statistics released by the Home Office show more Manchester United fans were involved in racially related arrests than anyone else in the football league!

Data collected over the last four season show a total of 27 Old Trafford fans were locked up for racist behaviour.

Alarmingly, Leeds (along with Millwall) were joint second with 15 arrests.

Leicester, Chelsea, Barnsley, West Ham, Sunderland, Boro and Citeh all got a mention!

Whilst Manchester United can at least boast of crowds of 70k, thus making the percentage of idiots miniscule, Leeds with average crowds of 32k do not have that excuse!

Leeds were quick to release the following statement: “Racism will not be tolerated by our club or by the vast majority of our community and fanbase.”

“We are committed with the help of the FA, EFL, Kick it Out and police to do anything we can to eradicate this vile issue from the game.”

Is anyone surprised at the lack of arrests at football matches that are racially aggravated?

Is there an acceptance that (some) football fans will shoot their mouths off when drunk?

Is a lot of racist behaviour still ignored by security / Police?

Vitesse Arnhem and Hearts are bidding to take Jay-Roy Grot on loan next season.

The colossal 21yo forward netted 6 times from 33 appearances for Dutch outfit VVV Venlo last term.

Anyone got any claims to fame?

Which famous people have you met?

Did you have the guts to go over and say something!!!

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Dont worry about the Wacist slur as this was 15 in 3 seasons so hardly rife is it.

As Eire says Phil Hay will be gone today so wonder who takes over in the short term. Will we be getting Wobshal, Rowson or more from Urquart and wonder what Phil will be doing as he will still be writing about Leeds? A national maybe or will he be at ER?

The Grot thing is obviously something on the cards depending on what Bielsa wants to do with him. Grot shouldn't be loaned out he should be sold if we are offloading him. Hearts can't afford him as we will want to recoup our £750k investment. There are at least 4 clubs in Holland wanting him and why would he want to play in the SPL when he can play in the Dutch league

We had 20 players out on loan and wonder what the hell is going to happen to them all. I'm about to update the first post on the transfer sticky above and add the contract expiry dates to some of the loan players

The issue of moving on our rubbish seems never ending. Every season same thing and if anything the list is getting longer. The four year contracts were ridiculous and smacked of someone who hadn’t a clue what they were doing when they were handed out <doh>

    I was thinking Lee Sobot.

It won't be Wobshal as he is a Boro fan

Urquart hasn't been here very long...

If there's anything happening with Radz and QSI should we be worried? i say this as Platini is now in custody on corruption charges for awarding Qatar the 22 World Cup

    Famous people I met.

I sold Brett Ormarods house. This was just as he was going out on loan to Leeds.

I bumped into Gordon Strachan. Had a great conversation with him about Leeds. (This was when he was Manager of Southampton). I asked him when was he going to take the hot seat at ER. He told me I had to be joking. (Leeds at the time were in termoil). He made it clear with the state of Leeds, he would go anywhere near them.

For a year or so my parents lived next door to Gordon Strachan. He has bought it from Kris Akabussi (the runner).

I bumped into Shane Warne in a lift in the block of apartments where I live.

The Hampshire wicket keeper at the time lived in the Penthouse. I said 'you're Shane Warne'. He said, yeah, I know...

Friend of mine was never shy meeting ‘famous’ people. There was an 800m runner in the 90’s called Curtis Robb. I spotted him in a bar and told my mate who he was. He went over to chat to him, came back 10 minutes later ‘what a lovely fella that Rob Curtis is’. He’d been calling him Rob for 10 minutes and the guy didn’t have the heart to correct him.

At least you knew Shane Warne’s name.

My Mrs did the Great north run and started chatting to someone she recognised as she was running along. Not wanting to be rude, she engaged in idle chit chat, the like of which she specialises in. After 5 minutes it dawned on her that she only knew the woman, some girl from eastenders i think, through the telly. Upon realising the woman had no idea who my wife was... and after a brief discussion about how the person on the tv show can’t actually see the people watching... they continued their run in silence.

Any word on where he's going yet? Wonder if he's going to be our Press Liaison Officer.

Also wondering if our previous PLO who went to Boro is a journalist. Can't remember his name, but he was a good guy, & wonder if he's go for PH's job.

Perhaps I think too much, eh? :D

Dennis Waterman and his mates loads of times in the Shed at Stamford Bridge in the mid 70's. I was in my late teens based in SW3 doing part of my student apprenticeship. He'd just starting filming the first series of The Sweeney and they hadn't even put the pilot out then. He was best known at the time as a boy actor in the William TV series and in the Colditz series on the box.

Remember him ranting on and on that he was pissed off because in the Sweeney his character George Carter had to play a Fulham supporter. He was diehard Chelsea - he fecking hated them.......<laugh>

You seem to bump into people quite a lot. Perhaps it's time to go to the opticians? <whistle>

Story so far is that bookies have stopped taking bets on Jack Clarke signing for Spurs.

Looking likely that Paudy O'connor is joining Bradford again on loan. 3 L1 clubs are chasing him but he prefers Bradford under the boss who came in late last season.

He just said he’d still be writing about Leeds. Just hope that’s in an objective way like he’s always done and not a liaison officer for the club just putting out press releases

When in Doha working I was fortunate enough to play in a few golf ProAms, this particular time I played with Justin Rose and was on the range prior hitting some balls, there was someone stood behind me and when I turned round it was Andy Gray and Gordon Strachan, I had a LUFC head cover on my driver and putter, Strachan said “yer like dog **** you lot, yer everywhere” we all bust out laughing and had a chat for a couple of minutes.
