Bielsa says he never chooses a captain. He lets someone emerge naturally from his group of players. Says that "as an observer", Liam Cooper is "a great captain".

 

Bielsa on his tactics: "For me, the famous 'Plan B' is only determined by a player who has different characteristics for the same position. The goals are always the same - the victory, as we want to win. We choose the tools that lead us to victory."

Dallas injury is a problem with a quad muscle. Looking at a couple of weeks out.

Peacock-Farrell says he's had to work hard technically to get up to speed with the way Bielsa wants him to play. Has put the hours in this summer. Said he hoped to remain as number one this season, despite Blackman arriving from Chelsea.

Bielsa insists that he always plays out with his feet when he can. "When we play out, we're in control of the game. When you kick it long, you start creating doubts and 50-50s."

BPF also says Bielsa is making the players watch videos of clubs like Man City, Barcelona and Bayern Munich to study the way they play, and pass and move.
