Van De Beek was instrumental in hammering us 3-0 though, and a reversal in scoreline would probably have saved us this season.
All this MB haters is a joke just because some people point out he was not perfect. He was brilliant for us but it was time to go.
Seeing as you asked so nicely Jammy Last Season Cooper and Llorente both started (7 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 0.86, Average Points Won = 2.14 Cooper Absent (7 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 0.71, Average Points Won = 1.71 Llorente Absent (18 games)- Average Goals Conceded = 1.94, Average Points Won = 1.28 Both Absent (6 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 1.33, Average Points Won = 1.5 Overall Average Goals Conceded = 1.18, Average Points Won = 1.55 Conclusion - We did poorly if Llorente didnt start. Coopers absence not as significant This Season Cooper and Llorente both started (14 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 0.93, Average Points Won = 1.36 Cooper Absent (10 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 2.9, Average Points Won = 1.0 Llorente Absent (4 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 2.5, Average Points Won = 0.5 Both Absent (6 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 3.33, Average Points Won = 0.5 Overall Average Goals Conceded = 2.47, Average Points Won = 1.0 Conclusion - No matter the combination of centre half's, goals conceded when both Cooper and Llorente played was more than 50% less than any other combination, and the same combination earned 33% more points than our seasons average. Coopers absence slightly more significant when it comes to goals conceded, but Llorente's more significant when it comes to points won Both Seasons Combined Cooper and Llorente both started (21 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 0.9, Average Points Won = 1.62 Cooper Absent ( 17 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 2.0, Average Points Won = 1.29 LLorente Absent (22 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 2.05, Average Points Won = 1.14 Both Absent (12 games) - Average Goals Conceded = 2.33, Average Points Won = 1.0 Overall Average Goals Conceded = 1.75, Average Points Won = 1.29 Conclusion - When both play, we concede nearly 50% less goals than average, and earn approx. 30% more points than average Either of them missing, we conceded twice as many goals, and points won reduced by 20%-25%
Stats mean **** all to me Elland so you and all the anti Bielsa eejits are wasting their time showing me any. My point is if we get relegated the buck stops with Jesse.
I'm not Anti Bielsa at all. What he's done for Leeds has been amazing, BUT he has put us in this position this season. i) Poor transfers which he has approved ii) Squad too small iii) Refusal to sign players when desperately needed. iv) Over training v) Refusal to change tactics, even though players were begging him to.
Yes and it's his fault we get all those stupid kick off times on anti social days. The damn idiot got us promted now no one can get a ticket.
Brilliant stuff Aski and many thanks It's exactly as I'd expected and it's amazing how underated Llorente is by a large section of our fanbase. Leaves me in no doubt that we could have coped with the other injuries if those two had stayed fit all season.
that’s brilliant aski… so just need to add a weighted average of the league positions and average goals scored of all the opponents for when they played/didn’t to remove any easy opposition bias… account also for home or away fixtures… and best also do a factor analysis of whether Phillips was playing in those games as that’s clearly a defining contributor to defensive performance … I suppose we also need to establish whether the sample size is sufficient given all the variables - then we can probably say job’s a good ‘un. 6 pm sharp please. Good man oh and while you’re at it.., who’s going to win the 2.50 at Ascot tomorrow?
Or we can just say that Liverpool suffered exactly the same when Van Dyke, Matip & Gomez were out last season and that the centre half pairing is absolutely vital to every team The 2-50 at Ascot is a tough one as none have raced before, therefore market support is the usual guide.
Of course we can as it’s bleedin’ obvious, but where’s the fun in that. that’s why I need aski’s assistance, a man of rare resourcefulness
