It's my opinion on what I have seen. He looks the real deal and barring injury I would say he will be a level above where we are operating at this moment. Bamford will only ever be a decent Championship level striker. Theres no shame in that and I am happy that he is with us. Of course, Nketiah could end up another youngster that doesn't make it. Theres all sorts that could happen. If he has got his head around Bielsaball (as we are told) then he will be a massive player for us 2nd half of the season. It would be a shame to get him up to speed, him get injured and then Arsenal recall him due to lack of minutes when he is finally ready to shine. He COULD be the difference between automatic promotion or a play off place.
Eddie hits the ball first time 9/10 shots, Bamford takes 2/3 touches and messes up 9/10,no comparison really Eddie is a natural goal scorer, Bamford isn't.
I think the argument is not who is the best goal scorer but with which player does the team work best? I think if Nketiah learns how to lead the attack the way Bielsa wants, he will be a fantastic player. He’s not there yet so it’s more finely balanced. I hope he stays as he could take off in second half of season.
But Bielsa says the problem is our conversion rate for chances created not our ‘team’ play. We dominate that.
