I honestly feel we can win with the same starting 11 we had against Wigan, it doesn't mean it would be miy starting 11 but they are more than capable of coming away with three points. I just hope we haven't made a silly promise to Augustin, £2m up front and £35k a week to get someone elses striker fit? He needs to play this season, he needs to make an impact and we need to be signing him otherwise it is just more money down the pan

Looking at the U23 fixtures we have Fri Feb 7 Derby County H (7:00pm) PL CUP and Mon Feb 10 Bolton Wanderers H Thorp Arch (1pm). I'd imagine 45 minutes again on Friday for Augustin and then at least another 45 minutes Monday? Bristol City at home would be my guess for an appearance from the bench

I don't read it that way at all. I see it as Bielsa saying he has the talent to be a 30-40 million pound striker, if he puts the effort to get fit due to the lack of game time Bielsa will help make that happen. Basically saying to the player, you have all the talent, do you want to put the effort in to get the rewards from it. Quite right the challenge should be set, and he seems to want to engage with the supporters so he will hopefully want to meet the challenge head on.

So little time, so many games and he will
Likely miss most of them. Read MB’s comments about Eddie, Izzy and Baker.

But you can't just play him if he's not up to it.

maybe engaging on Twitter is less physically demanding than engaging in 3 training sessions a day

seriously though, the idea that he’s a 40m player, but we’ve got him on loan at a bargain basement price because he’s not fit is just bizarre. You could take messi on loan, but if he’s done his acl it’s not going to help your cause is it.

and that’s ignoring the fact that this 40m player is unfit because he has proved either not good enough to play...or not motivated enough to get fit at his previous 2 clubs.

im not saying he won’t be match fit in a couple of weeks, come storming in and save our season... just the comments don’t instil huge amounts of confidence!

The player says he's fit and ready, wanted to play the whole 90 for the U23s. If he's not match fit he should have been left on. <doh>
