PH Too little space here to condense some of these answers from Bielsa but some fascinating stuff from his about why he only believes in Plan A. Included an apology to Hernan Crespo. Will expand later. Bielsa not convinced by Norwich painting the away dressing room pink. Doesn't think the colour will make any impact. Bielsa not planning changes, or many, this weekend. Says there will be plenty for the League Cup tie against Preston next Tuesday.
AP MB tells a tale where he apologises for having told ex Argentina striker Hernan Crespo when he was a young player that he was mature when he was not at the time. Basically says it’s important to be honest with players. MB on pink dressing room at Norwich: “No colour has the capacity to weaken the desire for competition.” PH Bielsa on Phillips' reaction to being subbed early: "It's been normal. I appreciated his behaviour when I took this decision, which is not a frequent one. I never point out individual mistakes. At the end of the day, we are colleagues. I make mistakes too. We have to be tolerant"
AP MB says he has always in his career avoided highlighting his players’ mistakes publicly. “You have to be tolerant of mistakes. Players make them & so do I. We have different roles but we are colleagues.”
On the subject of a pink dressing room it would work the opposite way to what is intended with me. I would think to myself. Right you barstewards that's the way you want it lets see who's blushing at the end of the game.
I think its a very dated way of thinking, like the colour pink is going to turn you into a sissy that cant play football (better get a result now!)
This is upto date thinking by a university graduate fresh into the real world using their degree in psychology. My upto date thinking is that all away fans should arm themselves with those cup cakes with all the pink swishy stuff on top and present them Delia in a very forthright manner
It says something that a player can be subbed after less than 30 minutes without a total strop The guy is so honest you’d trust his explanation
No full stop no exclamation mark, cannot make my mind up if you are serious or not or just being provocative.
villa sound peeved that leeds utd have got bielsa , Dont know why Aston villa are starting to shout that they are 5th they only just got a draw last night brentford almost beat them , yes they have some good players, but i dont think they are as good as leeds players , BUT i heard the chairman say dont know how leeds utd got bielsa , well if he had bothered to look at our history he would know why !!! and also our following says everything, so im hoping we can shut them up on the field and beat them and while leeds go up keep villa down !
It looks to me as though Pontus is putting himself in the shop window ahead of the transfer window closing in the only way he can as he isn't playing, others could be doing it with their performances? The transfer windows close later in other parts of europe
Evening Eric, maybe he is, but how? It doesn't make sense. Russian side make 10m offer for Jansson LUFC turn it down 'SOMEONE' goes to the biggest Swedish newspaper telling them that a 5.1m offer had been accepted for Jansson, but he did not want to leave Leeds. I can't understand the benefit of Jansson or his agent going to the Swedish press with that information!
