    There are very few others who can qualify as a hugely successful player and as an ambassador for the club for virtually all of his adult life.

    The only other one that qualifies for me is Eddie Gray. Madeley and others that have been lost or still with us, e.g., Jack Charlton and Johnny Giles, didn't stay with the club after their playing days. Peter Lorimer is perhaps the next closest but does not quite make it for me. Billy Bremner was in a class of his own, hence the statue.
