I told a co-worker that we call Aston Villa, "Aston Vanilla"

He asked why, I told him it's because they're always getting licked.

And the A38 Aston Expressway is known as the Aston Distressway because of the state of mind of the Villa fans going to & from the match.

With Bielsa now in charge you would think anyone he sends out on loan will be with a view to improve the player, and that would mean going to a coach who would follow instructions from Bielsa. to refuse to do that would mean no loan. yes all the players dumped out were surplus to Bielsa requirements, but Dalby was an expensive asset signed from Charlton I believe last year. Big future, big player. Besides this story may be bollox and just paper talk because for me dalby is better off here.

They would all be better off here learning what is expected in the U23's in my opinion, I just feel if you are out on loan then you're on the available list. O'Kane would never have been back if he hadn't broken his leg, I think out on loan means you are in the shop window, just my opinion and Dalby a strange one..

Two types of loan player. Type 1you are just trying to get off the wage bill and hope it puts them in the shop window. Type 2 you are trying to get them man’s football experience that they likely wouldn’t get at your club in the short term.... The step from u23s to the championship is a huge one in terms of pace of the game and physicality.

That said with bielsa putting such emphasis on knowing the style, the system, the fitness, the work ethic and using the u23s as a mirror of the first team to allow for an easier transition... you have to question what value he would put in type 2 loans.
