Those games were absolutely fantastic and those of us who witnessed them in the flesh were privleged and lucky to have been there. We grew up with special times as a Leeds United fan and for me, that's why I am the Leeds fan I am today. The loyalty stems from those days which despite the troubles, saw us see some of the best football I have ever seen and I loved it!
Mentioned it before but one of highlights among many for me was the comeback against Derby from three down to win 4-3. Was at that one with my Dad. A special day
Good evening everyone Wonderful memories of those two matches I was full of anticipation & excitement for our next game v Coventry City. Big Jack scored after ten minutes & we all thought here we go again, sadly the rest of the game was a dull affair & we won 1-0
I managed to get a ticket for the Kop end for Liverpool - Leeds in the league Cup 3 years ago. When Roofe almost scored at the beginning of the second half I forgot where I was and jumped up thinking we were about to score. Thankfully so did another 500 fans in the Kop..
What about the FA Cup qyr final v Coventry, especially when Rennie opened the scoring from a back header following a corner...
I remember we went in the Kop in the seventies to keep away from the trouble in the Anfield Road end. WE'd gone in their supporters club and went and stood with some of their fans we'd met before the game. They only told everyone around us that we were Leeds fans and we were right behind the goal. That's when I panicked and prayed for Leeds not to score!!
Imagine if he breaks through to the first team and is a great success, all the dads saying to their kids “no you can’t have his last name on your shirt, you’ll have to have his first name”.... I can also imagine someone going for Kun T
