Orta said before that he runs all transfers by the coach. We can pretty safely bet what this meant with PH and TC... Orta... “I think we lack strength in depth in the back four do you agree coach?” Coach “Yes” Orta... “I’ve signed you a new LB” Bielsa obviously wants total control over transfers, Leeds have approached him for a coach position, he wants more of the old fashioned manager appointment, I’m actually amazed Orta couldn’t see this scenario happening on day one. When Bielsa doesn’t get what he wants and he turns us down, hopefully Rads will open his eyes
Guillem Balague On Twitter Not true Bielsa has work permit as that will come when/if he signs contract that is now in his brother's hands, a top level lawyer in communication with Leeds. Club very hopeful of things moving positively but no timetable to when confirmation (or the opposite) will take place 12:23 PM - Jun 14, 2018 This in response to a few stating he is awaiting a work permit, he hasn’t even applied for one. Baluague has also stated that Bielsa wants EVERY in and out run past him first when it comes to coaches and players, he wants final say. Anyone who doesn’t know who this guy is, he is the Spanish journalist who Sky Sports have on regularly
If this is the reason for the delay l hope Bielsa sticks to his guns and do us all a favour and get rid of orta. If I took the job I would want final say too after all who’s neck is on the block
be fairly ironic, Orta recommends old friend Bielsa and sells concept in to radz. Radz sends Orta to do the deal. Orta sets everything up. All going smoothly until the contract come through basically saying he wants coach and DoF role. Rads: “its ok Vic, you’re still DOF, just Marcelo will choose all the players and... well... you know... pretty much do what you do. You can still... well... do the admin, put some cones out on the training ground” Another way of looking at it would be that Bielsa wants Orta to do what he says he does, rather than what we know he does.
