The only thing a Premier Lg 2 would do is put ticket prices up, that's exactly what happened when it went from the old first division, to the Premier League, just a name change and fans were charged double for season tickets for the privilege. The bent EFL need to tell the PL bosses to **** off, your clubs are not playing in the FACup or League cup and revert back to Lg1 Lg2 etc , after all, it was those greedy bastards who wanted to go it alone
Radz and 11 Sport are doing something this weekend I think with a European Rugby event. Seems they are the only outfit broadcasting it. I suspect Radz has an idea or 2 about how the EFL can maximise tv revenues and marketing and will need the FA or EFL to do something drastic. Failure to do something soon before the new Euro League takes shape which will hit Sky and revenues as Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea etc break away from the FA and Premier League. Maybe Leeds will be invited
What I heard from all this was Radz wants more of the football money to go to the handful of clubs that have large support and who get featured all the time. Maybe there’s a bit more to it but that’s what it sounded like.
Can’t believe none of the geriatrics have stated the obvious while I have been busy keeping the economy ticking over. The rules will change, there will be a fair spread of TV money based upon league status and TV appeal. Some formula based upon league position and appearances on the box. It will probably run for a year or two depending upon how we get on when we get promoted. Bet the Wallies still don’t thank us for 10 million a year playing in League One when we get 20 million per year and have every Premier League game shown live
