I do too - all speculation so far, seems to have originated with the Bristol press and been picked up by the red-tops. Time will tell.
10k is my limit... don’t have the time or the inclination to ever run any further. Sub 40 is a good effort emu.. how old are you?
nah... they’re bang average... only Brentford of the chasing pack are capable of putting up a serious challenge in my view.
Whatever the result against WBA, I don’t thing our resident sheep-fancier will be doing any slagging tonight...
I'm 40 in April. I ran 37:19 in October at the Abbey Dash 10k. Tend to do better in the longer distances nowadays. Half marathon distance seems to be my bag. Got one in 2 and a half weeks. Having the time and energy to do a 4 month marathon block to try and get under 3 hours is my goal this year. Might be above and beyond what this body is capable of now. Do you do many events Milkyboy?
You’re a whippersnapper at 39. If you can do a 37min 10k you should have a sub 3 hour marathon in you... if you can get the miles in. Bores the sh*t out of me, so I stick to the (very) occasional park run!
Yeah, its having the time to put those miles in among the school run, swimming lessons, cooking and general parenting stuff. It's never ending. Was supposed to do a 15 miler this morning but ended up doing the parkrun with my 7 year old (he came first u10 in 31:20) and then just smashed out a little 6k to keep turning over. I'm already 13km down today on distance. Kids eh?
I watched my wife do a park run(with the dog) whilst I and the kids cheered them on. That was my exercise for the day!
Never heard of him: CENK TOSUN (28, striker, Everton) Linked with: Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Besiktas Tosun this season - Goals for Everton: 1. Goals for Turkey: 3 That probably tells you all you need to know about Tosun's situation at Goodison Park. The former Besiktas forward failed to claim a regular first-team place under Marco Silva and his fortunes have not improved. Signed for a hefty £27m in January 2018, Tosun was described by then-Toffees boss Sam Allardyce as "the best in Europe" at that price. Not one he got right.
Mentioned him last week and his record has been a goal every other game until he came to Everton and I too would take him in a heartbeat.
Agreed but we were paying Clarke £45kpwk and Eddie £50kpwk and Everton never pay half of what Liverpool pay in wages. I had a chat with James Beattie a few years ago before he went into coaching and the conversation was tongue in cheek about him not getting much game time at Everton and he should come to Leeds and win the Golden Boot.... He said there was a lot of bad feeling in scouse football circles and always had been because Liverpool players were paid huge wages and Moyes/Kenwright players were nowhere near that..... Even Internationals at Everton only got a fraction of what an average Liverpool player got. If Tosun wants regular football and a chance to play in the Prem with Leeds it may be possible as long as Ancelotti allows it. He was surplus to requirements and available 2 weeks ago for a loan deal?
