We haven’t employed Farke as the academy coach. Given first team ready players and he will get us promoted. I like his style of football.
Don't forget the 6 or 7 million for Caprile, Rodrigo and Roberts. 60 million parachute payments. TV money for this season. Shirt sales (6th in England). Match day revenue which is 1 million a game (23 million for league games alone). A couple of million loan fees. Biggest shirt sponsorship deal outside the PL. Get some brass spent.
I think the point is Farke doesn’t seem to think that they are good enough if I’m reading his comments correctly.
Farke has been saying all along that we'd have to make do with what we have for the first few weeks of the season and then look to finalise the squad nearer to the end of the transfer window. His comments yesterday were probably just a reminder of that and also that we can't use the young players for the entire season. He wasn't saying that they aren't good enough, in fact he made no referrence to their ability either collectively or individually.
Doesn’t really seem much point in having billionaire owners and a group of famous/wealthy investors if they can’t spend their bucks due to ffp bollox.
Fair point which is why increasing capacity at ER should be a priority. There'll never be a good time so just get on with it as none of that expenditure counts towards FFP.
Can’t they spend the 200m on the ground and that allows them to spend 200m on players. They’ve been bragging they were going to do it eventually so why not now
Are we on the same wavelength? In our house, the lav is known as the throne. Are you suggesting they now get a lav or a commode to sit on for the game, to save them moving? Shako would love that it if was positioned at the bar!
This might be a little contentious but Gray and Ampadu aren't exactly the most forward thinking and that means we'll struggle against sides that sit in. In an ideal world we need someone with the passing range of a Kalvin Phillips in one of those positions and it ain't Hamer from Coventry as he needs to play further forward.
