Yep and if Cooper, Struijk, Wober can't play on the right side of defence every now and again (and Koch on the left) without the consequence of it being certain defeat then sell the lot of them, they aren't capable of being a pro footballer let alone at the highest level.

    It's a non issue imo.

Finally we agree on something <laugh>.

Llorente was great first season when Bielsaball was in full swing. We had alot of possession and he did well.

When the wheels fell off and injuries piled up and teams were pinching the ball of us in midfield leaving the defence exposed he started to struggle. Defenders under the current coach need to be all out defenders and not ball playing centre halves.

    Horses for courses.

... or bielsa ball... or if you consider that he was the worst rated centreback in the premier league on % of aerial challenges won - maybe it's just the premier league he's not suited to? As Emu says he did fine in games where we dominated possession and could contribute to our build up play. The problems arose when he had to actually defend.

Personally, I've always throught he was a good footballer more suited to other leagues. However, the clear regular errors he makes have nothing to to do with tactics, they're dicking about on the ball, or simple brain farts. You can say the tactics stretch the defence and make life difficult for them.. and I'd agree with that, it was the same under bielsa in transition. Maybe that has knackered his confidence. But you can't watch the errors v everton and Brentford that got him dropped and say they have anything to do with tactics.

... and his rep for dallying on the ball preceded his time with us as fans of sociedad and spanish journalists attest to.

Whichever, all just opinions - good move for all concerned so now we can stop arguing about him <laugh>... hope the lad is a success in Italy.

Big mistake if we let Harrison go imo. Do a Llorente with him. Give him what we wants, an improved, extended contract - adding possibly £10m to his transfer value. Then if he wants to leave in the summer, or if he is deemed surplus to requirements, sell him then for his true value.

Interesting times in the summer as we could have have:
    • Wober
    • Cooper
    • Koch
    • Hjelde
    • Cresswell
    • Monteira
Obviously we will be offloading a couple

So if zaniolo (or plan b,c,d whatever) says yes, jack goes. If not he stays - unless leicester really stump up some cash . There were strange rumours about Perez, wonder whether swap might be on the agenda.

I've seen nothing of zaniolo - but given how well jack has played centrally, i see this as a risk myself.

Sorry but Harrison only looked good in the cup against lower league teams. Honestly i think he is too slow and messes about too much. One good game every so often makes him surplus to me... Sell sell sell.

My thoughts too. Jack is generally under-rated by leeds fans in my opinion. He does blow hot and cold and hasn't taken to jesse's inverted winger role but looked really good more centrally and back to his best recently.

    Isn't Perez off to Spain!!!!

Anyway a swap deal wouldn't be great financially. £25 million for Harrison while Perez is coming to the end of his contract and is only worth £6 million according to Transfer.Com. Maybe player plus cash and then you're talking.

oh i meant player plus cash - i'm just second-guessing the links to Perez which seemed strange unless he was a make-weight

Now that Chelsea have bought another 30 odd players maybe it will be Pulisic?

I made this up by the way but if anyone wants to turn it into a itk rumour on one of the garbage websites please feel free, they will all copy each other, before you know it, it will be all over twitter then the fastest on the draw can post it back on here with something like “I am hearing” <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I’m hearing that Pulisic has been deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea and is Leeds bound.

I want to like Harrison - but he's so bloody frustrating. When he's good he's brilliant, when he's bad he's "Is he on the pitch?". Elements of Dan James in his end product. Did well in the sort of CAM role, but not enough games to be sure.

Are you hearing that from, what the kids of today would describe as, a 'dope' source? Or was it from a saucy doper?
