I think some people need to understand basic human body make up. Stress due to over training built-up over a long period of time does not go away overnight. The effects will still be there until after the summer break. That is assuming there was over training in the first place.

    Good morning all

I don’t believe the over training excuse. Dallas was a freak accident, he’s been a virtual ever present from Bielsa day one. Then you have Llorente and Firpo, one has been here a season the other two seasons and from day one they’ve been a bit fragile.

Just like Woodgate, he was always injured, Batty and Bowyer who rarely were despite their style of play, some players seem more prone and we have too many in this category

The biggest disappointment about relegation would be the cut price fees for anyone who has relegation release clauses.

We all agreed two seasons back, Bielsa was getting more out of the players than we thought was possible. We made some poor signings, wasted the funds we had and now we’re in a huge mess.

We either survive this season and hope to do better in the transfer market next season but let’s be honest, do you trust Orta? We need depth, we need to replace a few players, it’s a huge ask when we’ve wasted so much already.

The other option is relegation and we clear the decks and start again with the likes of Drameh, Summerville, Cresswell, Hjelde, Joffy and Greenwood. Protect them with the experience of Forshaw, Ayling, Cooper and Harrison and hope that a season in the Championship makes those current u23s stars worth keeping and players we can build around with a quick return.

I want us to survive but I can’t help wonder if it will be the same old thing next season if we do

Let’s face it we have a full squad of Darren andertons. Absolute crocks. If they were racehorses most would be already in the knackers yard

    I'm still not too worried.

The way Chelsea played gives me hope that we have 3 points against them. They were woeful. Brighton and Brentford have nothing to play for.

Arsenal will be tough. We owe them though as we have regularly been the better side against them but gone on to draw or lose the game.

As usual, it's about taking your chances.

i don't think jesse goes round kicking them in the balls....some of ours are made of broken biscuits, coops came back and did well and get's injured in the warm up how can that be apportioned to jesse. forshaw perpetual sicknote, bamford hardly played ALL season, roberts may as well be injured for what he brings to the table, shacks when he does play it's not his usual position....we have been abysmal for the majority of the gig regardless and the 2 results that went against us at the weekend will unless a miracle happens seal our fate.

Woeful? 99/100 they would have won that, Everton only had 22% possession, Chelsea had 17 shots, the Everton Keeper played a blinder

Absolute shocker of a season in which we could quite easily be relegated in Prem and Prem 2. due to a small squad and a pathetic Jan Transfer window. I really really hope and pray both can keep out of trouble but it's looking very difficult, We have went into this season thinking the Prem 2 young guns could fill the gaps in the Prem. it hasn't worked if we go down it's a failed mission. then by taking the cream of the Prem 2 boys out of the Prem 2 squad of it's killed our Prem 2 season. in which again it's a failed mission.overall it's been a failure in both regardless of were both teams finish. You can't hide in the Prem and trying to stop gap a striker is suicidal it's asking for failure. It's one of the best leagues in the world and you simply don't take chances absolute crazy decision by the club.
We have took a massive risk in thinking the squad of last season could do it all over again as that's what basically we have done.
This weekend has smashed my heart like many have said we never expected anything off City but we all hoped Chelsea and Watford could of done something to keep things ticking over sadly it all went baps up.
We have 4 games to save our season against teams we always struggle against. bogey teams Brentford and Brighton and Arsenal and Chelsea who simply are still way above where we are. if they produce 75% of effort both will fold us over.
We still have to believe but I just don't see us scoring. we don't have the players to do it. you can sneek one against the lower teams but you can't expect stop gaps players to own top internationals defenders in the best league in the world.

I don’t know mate, all I know is I watched the game and Woeful was never a word I’d have used to describe Chelsea, they will beat us as will Arsenal because we’re simply a mile behind both. Sad but it’s the reality that lays ahead. I honestly believe only Norwich and Watford have worse squads than us

Marsch was right about his comments on being overtrained. The effect of being overtrained does not go away just because we got Bielsa out. The effect of being overtrained can stay on for years and is not always that easy to correct. Some athletes never get back to how they were before it happened.

Sorry I didn’t mean they’d play Everton 100 times and win 99 of them. I meant with the finishing stats and the chances they had <ok>

Rads can't afford to rebuild a prem team. We survive and it's sell sell sell.

Pretty sure that Everton have now beaten Chelsea three times in a row at Goodison and that's why it wasn't really a surprise that they picked up the 3 points yesterday. Doesn't matter whether they deserved it or not the fact is they got the job done. Burnley in similar fashion are showing that mental strength and a fierce determination to win can get results at this stage of the season.

From our point of view the most worrying thing from Saturday was the players looking absolutely dejected as every goal went in and also at the final whistle. Unless somehow we can get a result down at the Emirates then playing three of the top 4 in consecutive games was always likely to end up in a crisis of confidence. Equally worrying was players looking to the bench (after conceding) and Marsche was also despondent and looking away when he needed to be providing support to the players.

It's tough, very tough at the moment and you feel as soon as we go behind that the games's gone and Jesse simply must inspire enough belief in the players to fight back if that happens.

Incidentially had a look on the MOT forum and you can tell things are bad as some posters are now calling for Bate to start. Oh and another classic was for Pablo to come back for a year if we do go down...honestly you couldn't make it up.
