I’m not his greatest fan but he can’t do anything good in your eyes despite being part of a team that won eight on the trot (I’ve left out Leicester as he was subbed off), let in very few goals and has assisted for a few.

Check out my match ratings. I've given him plenty of credit for his performances against weak sides.

My issue is when he has to defend. I've not forgotten his struggles in the PL. He was hopeless. I don't trust him at all. He gets away with it in this league playing for Leeds. If he played for Rotherham he'd be getting rinsed every week.

£80m ??? We're getting £20m for Sinisterra, probably the same for Harrison, then approx Wober £10m, Roca£7m, Llorente £8m, Kristensen £5m the fringe players combined £5m, plus a bag of suck for Firpo. Plus we're £100m better off in the PL. Saving on the rats wages covers the newbies. What's not to like

49ers will invest in the squad if we go up too.

80 million to spend on four players. As we’ve seen 20 million is a gamble on a player that won’t keep you up, let alone make you competitive unless your recruitment is spot on. That’s the only point I’m making.

Good management £10m each full back, £30m each the other 2 positions, it can be done. A £60m player doesn't guarantee success. All to do with the scouting and they should be looking now.

Agreed as it's just so hard to get it right.

Rutter £35M
Aaronson £25M
Dan James £25M
Piroe £12M (but likely not PL quality)

Lots of money spent there but our best signing was probably Summerville for £1M.

You’re actually agreeing with me. Good recruitment. A 10 million full back in the premier league is a gamble. We paid more for the universally hated Junior Firpo.

Think the key is to pretend you're skint like Brighton & Brentford obviously do <ok>

Being a full back in today's game is probably harder than it's ever been, they're expected to attack and defend in equal levels of quality, quite possibly the hardest positions to fill in the modern game. TAA and Reece James are lauded but both have flaws in their games, especially defending. We have 2 that are great going forward but struggle with quality wingers, they will come up against those 60% of games in the PL, we need to be scouting those positions now, really don't know how good Roberts is but he really should be given some game time now to give us an idea, some say not good enough for Burnley in the PL but Kompany doesn't seem to be making a good fist of it, so he could well be wrong
