Normally, I would agree with you, however, I watch the SPL where there is no VAR, & find myself being conditioned into wanting it for some of the ridiculous 'big' decisions made up there. There has to be a happy medium. I suspect we use it for minutae down here, instead of the 'big' decisions it was brought in to make absolute. It's failed horribly down here, but it's use should be reviewed imo - there is a need for some of the decisions, but not all of them. There's also the need for algorithms to review in a split second. How long have we watched someone faceless fiddling about with lines across the pitch? Could be done in a jiffy if you tell the computed what to do.
Who'd have thought? https://motleedsnews.com/matchday/o...er-named-as-concerns-grow-over-pl-team-leaks/
On at least 2 occasions in the Wolves match the ref paced out the ten from the position of a Leeds free kick and sprayed to find a Wolves player a good yard nearer, on one of these occasions he seemed to be having words with the Wolves player. So what did he do? Sprayed another line in front of the Wolves player. Twice at least, ****ing comical!!!
well they loved to call us "dirty leeds" cynical, cheats, tough etc now it's all diving, rolling, feigning injury etc in a game that isn't anywhere near as tough as back then...perhaps we have come full circle, and should be renamed
If you look closely at the pitch, the grass has been cut in 6yd sections across it. Easily measured as 3 fit nicely into the penalty box. There was one free kick we got where the ball was in the middle of one strip & the Wolves players were in the middle of the next strip - making them 6 yds apart, instead of 10 - but standing on the ref's line! Perhaps we need VAR for referee's measuring of 10 yds & give him a red card if he's more than a yard out.
These photo finish VAR offside decisions are beyond a joke, there would be far less controversy if the rules were changed to having daylight between the striker and last defender, people would argue that there was or wasn't daylight between the players but one thing that would be certain is that most of the body was past the last defender and not just a big toe.
So the hospital I complained to last week have had their revenge. They have booked my first MRI for 18.00 tomorrow.
Just cracked open a beer and going to watch the footy. Got a king prawn vindaloo, chicken tikka, seekh kebab, salad and a garlic nan for later when I get the munchies So who do we want to win tonight...Brighton or Palace ?
Neither. A draw is my preference every time, unless it REALLY suits us for someone to win/lose. Losing 2 points affects both teams as badly as losing, particularly if it's a team they feel they should have beaten. A few serious injuries & a clutch of red cards would be the cherry on top.
Be good to see BHA relegated and ask how the White decision went for them. Or how about do you feel stupid turning down £30m when you could have bought a top striker and stayed up
Convinced if we'd signed White we would have been pushing for Europe now. Especially since the defenders we did sign haven't been available and young Ben seems indefatigable. Fecking Brighton barstewards
were they disappointed when you told them that slot was unavailable and to speak to your secretary to re-schedule?
Yeah but we got two in and they have the potential to be better than ben white. Plus pascall got a chance so the futures not white.
Llorente and Koch have fulfilled there potential already being full internationals, just unfortunately at present not for us! Pascal will in future join them at international level I'm sure....not bothered whether white does unless he comes back
