Didn’t say I wanted to weaken the side at all. In fact I said, I have a feeling given a run of games in his correct position he might change a few minds.

I was leaning towards, if funds are tight and we could recoup £25 million (or more) it would sound like a better idea than square pegging in round holes all the time.

For the record, I’m with Shako, I actually quite like James and he has good attributes but playing as a lone striker against the likes of Van Dijk never looks like a winning formula to me :emoticon-0148-yes:

Way too early to form an opinion on him really. Coming back from injury and chucked in against a top team for debut. Will have to adjust to the pace of the premier league and the intensity of the press… and learn when to try stuff and when not. Raph and rod both struggled with that. It’s reassuring he’s shown little glimpses and has the confidence to try stuff. I’m yet to see Jimmy even try to beat a man in senior football, when he’s rampant for the 23’s/21’s.

After watching Van Dick last night he has lost a yard of pace and commitment, run at him and he panicks, Milner gave him a right fkg last night for the Vomits first goal.

Just seen parts of a Rodrigo interview in a Spanish paper, where he said Bielsa was the best coach ever, but for him he was always out of position. The man for man system usually had him being pulled away from where he does his best work, but under Marsch he is allowed to go into danger areas…. Seems to make sense

I didn't know he was back OLOF, it can't be a coincidence that a lot of dodgy var calls happen when he's involved.<grr>
