Don't forget the utterly ridiculous Struijk sending off which not only affected that game but meant we lost him through suspension. I also remember Antonio going in with his elbow (I think Meslier but not sure) and he should have been sent off. I did think yesterday when the player went in with Llorente and trapped his leg under him that it wasn't even questioned whether he be sent off. This year teams know that they have to match our running, they are pressing our backs when they have the ball and they're cutting out our out ball to the wing. We're adapting but it's difficult when you're carrying so man injuries to key players. No one thinks the PL is easy. Norwich walked the Championship last year and look how much of a step up it is now. It may get to the point where the gap is just too big, if it isn't already.
I look at it and see we’ve 10 points from 10 games whilst being a shadow of our normal selves. So even if we improve only slightly over the remaining 28 games I reckon we’ll end up with around 50 points.
For Norwich to come back they have to win 3 games on the bounce and we also have to lose 3 games on the bounce. Its already a big gap, we just have to an up and do a job.
Phil Hay cannot be called clickbait site, but yet more praise for Rodrigo THE LATEST: HAY PRAISES RODRIGO It was Rodrigo who fired home the winner on Sunday, finding the net from distance as he bagged his second league goal of the campaign. His ball distribution was also on point, completing 24 of his 28 passes, while he also won five duels and had three shots in total (SofaScore). Taking to Twitter after the game, Hay spoke positively about the Spaniard with the seven-word verdict of: “Rodrigo got better as that went on.”
To be fair he is a bit of an enigma as to where is his best position, you can't doubt is talent, vision and quality he certainly hasn't shown his best over his time with us over a run of games but he certainly has a bit of fire and passion as witnessed with his celebration for his goal I think he probably realises he can be better than he has been and wants to succeed for us
The impression I got from yesterday’s game was that Raphinha and Rodrigo showed more passion and cared more about getting the three points than local boy Phillips. I realise that won’t be a popular opinion
Phillips is off his game for sure but don't think he's not passionate, the delight on his face in front of the fans at the end showed how much he cares
Looks like Ryan Edmondson has failed again out on loan as Leeds Utd are looking to recall him in January, where he will be promptly sent back out on loan. Right now hes in L1 and struggling to get a game under Simon Grayson at Fleetwood Town. He has featured 12 times and scored 2 goals but both in the EFL Troohy where most of his appearances have been. Yet again we see high profile U23 players bigged up by local media, who are basically failures when they go out on loan. Ryan has done nothing since he first went out on loan and has been disappointing and sits on the bench. Jack Clarke, Leif Davies, Robbie Gotts, Alfie McCalmont,…….
Looking like Conte will be signing as head coach of Spurs tomoz. He will be given a shytload of cash dor him and his team plus millions for new players. Top coach who they shouldnt have fooked about when Patrici joined and so Conte told Levy to fook off. Now Patruci has convinced him to come back and Levy the man who could have had 2 Man City players and a £100m for Harry Kane is now kissing Conte’s backside and means Conte rules not Levy. Anyine still think Newcastle are going to get a top coach? No chance unless he is allowed to walk away with a massive wage if he cannot stop them from relegation. Same with top players. They would be wise getting Eddie Howe and telling him to rebuild the club and if they go down it will be guaranteed to come straight back up with as many players as he wants. Lets not worry about Norwich and Newcastle this season, lets worry about Burnley or whoever else, lets hope Brentford falls into the drop zone soon
Watching Wolves vs Everton, Sky apologised if viewers heard anything offensive. They said it’s just Karen Carney talking ****e as usual.
When you look at the table you can see loads of teams with a negative goal difference, Arsenal, Leicester and then most near the bottom. Watford, Brentford, Southampton, Villa all worryingly close to the drop zone, so these are the clubs we need to smash. Everton are in free fall but will Lage be able to keep Wolves moving forward or will they start falling….. cheer up Elland has us down for a Champions League place
