Holy crap Elland You cannot come with something like that right after a defeat like we had The fans will get a heart attack and their brains can’t handle it, it will be overloaded
No, not really concerned if Bamford wants to move on. If Spurs comes in with anything over £50m, I say sell. We can use Rodrigo in that position and bring Gelhards in
Yes i would sell Bamford for a chunk of money. Brentford do it all the time and find new players to slot in.
Stolen from FB ..... A little perspective, Cost of premier league starting line ups last weekend, 20. Norwich £34.29m 19. Burnley £45.9m 18. Watford £49.73m 17. Brentford £53.51m 16. Crystal Palace £68.75m 15. Southampton £82.53m 14. Leeds £83.09m 13. Brighton £96.61m 12. Wolves £97.29m 11. Newcastle £101.93m 10. West Ham £117.14m 9. Everton £150.57m 8. Leicester £156.25m 7. Aston Villa £163.76m 6. Tottenham £175.14m 5. Chelsea £221.22m 4. Arsenal £238.23m 3. Liverpool £347.45m 2. Manchester United £435.85m 1. Manchester City £553.32m
I think there are teams on that list as high as 4th we COULD catch - that is not to say we will but, with a touch of magic Bielsa, hard work and a fair bit of luck I am sticking with my prediction of 5th
I will be happy if we can manage 10th. Think we overachieved a bit last season and we have not really strengthened the team other than Firpo
I can fully understand your thinking on this and others, it’s a divisive subject. I’m just too old and impatient. If Radz stays and we progress slowly becoming the best of the rest with the odd Europa league place then that’s fine. If we ever have a chance to spend huge and challenge Man U, Chelsea and Man City I’m hoping we jump in both feet first. We’ve suffered at the hands of Bates, GFH and Cellino I can accept another owner who doesn’t care as long as he is investing huge into us.
Radz and the other owners have enough money to put in the club, that is not the problem. The problem is actually to get the money into the club because of the ffp rules. And to do that you need to do what ManC and Chelsea etc dose. You need to make huge inflated sponsor deals and it is accepted by UEFA.
But as it's Leeds, our oil rich investor will do so the day before there is a world wide ban on the selling of any product made from fossil fuel
I’ve been thinking this, wouldn’t surprise me if Bielsa kept the same starting 11 this weekend. We know how he likes to give faith to the same group regardless of how the previous week went. Team selection will be interesting.
… according to Elland, Phillips has great Kerb appeal and a well maintained man garden Matt’s had worse
But…. The figures are irrelevant, it should be based on player values. Our 83.09 million includes zero paid for Philips. If he was sold to another team for £50m the team that brought him would increase their squad value by £50m. Bamford, Cooper, Ayling, Struijk are all worth a lot more than we paid for them
