As for my Jesse obsession. Well my obsession really isn’t with Jesse the person or the manager. He’s just the yardstick I use for highlighting hypocrisy, double standards and good old fashioned ignorance… so I’m grateful you drop by to keep me busy
I think Gracia has done ok so far but credit where credit is due Hodgson subjected him to a tactical masterclass in that second half. The system was actually more to blame than the players. If the players aren’t good enough then decent tactics can bridge the gap. Gracia 1-5 Hodgson
Somehow you make it sound like I was critical of Jesse and his tactics without good reason. Whereas the truth is if the useless twat had managed to avoid getting us in a relegation battle we'd all have been singing his praises. Happy to clarify as always
It's also the case that we all wanted to go for the win and hang the consequences. Well Palace decided they'd go for the win as well so fair play to them
Genuinely, whilst it may seem I lay a lot at the players doors I honestly don’t discount the role of the manager in terms of game plan and organisation. It seems that Javi is a bit of a traditionalist in terms of counter-attack on our travels and attack at home… but I doubt his game plan was to give eze and olise as much space as they wanted. I suspect what happened was we went too gung ho after their second and then got done on the break repeatedly when chasing the game. Which makes one manager look an idiot and the other a hero. Once they got their confidence up we shrank away and it was an embarrassment
you’re a smart lad though Jammy and you’re a betting man so you appreciate the element of chance in sport. So, if you park the fact that it’s too narrow too frantic too whatever… you don’t like the football blah blah - and you just look at the number of and quality of chances we have compared to the opposition - do you think that’s the manager’s fault if we miss our chances and the opposition take theirs Yes or no?
All that is true milky. Palace definitely pushed Eze higher up the pitch from the start of the second half and combined with our poor play we were left exposed time and time again. Add in some mental and physical fatigue from playing mid week and we were never at the races second half.
It's up to the manager to coach the players to create better chances if they're not scoring and to defend better as a unit if conceding too many. Everybody knows that milky.
The fact Bielsa wanted to sign Eze who chose instead to stay in London and join Palace kinda makes it even worse
Yeh he's a great talent but there's no way any of those south London lads would ever sign for Leeds. Unless we get Viera in as manager then it could work
That’s not a yes or no is it So if the team are creating better chances than the opposition - it’s the manager’s job to create even more than the opposition? That’s what everybody knows is it
Thought you could use 5 subs so could change half the team bar the goalie. To me Graciarse fecked up by sitting on his arse doing nothing while roy out foxed him. Liverpool and Leicester will do the same and push up on our defence.
It’s good to know those hours spent at those school debating forums was well spent Jammy. You obfuscate like a cabinet minister buddy
