Have they but? Deathly silence, and the deadline to submit evidence was 1pm today.

    Appeal succeeded!

    https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49978309

Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi has won his appeal against his red card in Saturday's defeat by Millwall.

The Swiss was sent off in the 14th minute for a foul on Lions striker Tom Bradshaw in the area, with Jed Wallace scoring the resultant penalty.

Had it stood, it would have been Berardi's seventh sending off for the Whites, a club record.

He will now be available for the home Championship game against Birmingham City on Saturday, 19 October.

I like your idea of changing the law so that an accidental, otherwise DOGSO, foul would be a caution only, just like the poor but legitimate challenge.

That said, I think most high level referees would not have awarded that penalty.

EFL just softening the blow by rescinding the send off, IMHO.

The ONLY time you'd want Cellino back for a day or two

Too late, the damage has been done.

Playing 76 minutes with 10 men due to an incorrect decision changed the game completely.

It should be replayed, that’s the only way the injustice can be rectified.

Would like to have seen the diving wall player suspended for successful deception of a match official.

That's not consistent with the decision, they are just ruling it wasn't a red as in their opinion Phillips was close enough.
