no need to be sarky no one has disputed this but going onto motorways invairiably the speed is 70 but some m/ways they are down to 40 some in leeds for instance.

It's all covered in the highway code, and it's worrying that people don't know it.
Compulsory annual testing for those over 65 should be mandatory and off the road by 70.

and i was just clarifying the laws in general, as very few people have a clue (including me prior to attendance at a speed awareness course)

Not being sarky. I was genuinely trying to stop Mike spouting inaccurate ****e on his course... Even though it would be hilarious to me personally...

The motorways that are 40MPH are clearly signed in the prescribed and legal matter and for completeness the new managed motorway system on the M62 and M1 are also fully legally compliant and when in operation should be complied with.

best bit of advice though for anyone not sure what the speed limit is... if you missed a sign at a turn off etc is:

    - if you can see 3 streetlights and no repeaters/markers saying to the contrary you're in a 30

    - if there are no streetlights and no repeaters/markers you're national speed limit so 60 or 70 depending on the carriageway

ie you should be able to work out the speed limit wherever you are

I thought if its dual carriageway, its 60mph (unless sign says otherwise). Little do I know

How do you know so much about it?

Yep, I misread it, was reading "2 lanes (1 in each direction) = 70" as a normal 2 way road and not under the dual carriageway heading above it

Re Harrison, played with Lampard & David Villa in USA under Patrick Viera - surprised Lampard wasn't in for him:

Andrea Pirlo: "He is very young, he’s fast and he is capable of playing in Europe. He’s a good player."

Frank Lampard: "I think there a lot of big things to come from Jack. I like him, he's a great lad, great ability."

Patrick Vieira: “It’s been a pleasure to work with him over the last two seasons and he’s developed very quickly thanks to his hard work and talent. Jack is incredibly passionate about the game and is always looking to improve himself.

“We wish Jack all the very best as he begins the next chapter of his career. We’re all looking forward to following his progress in Europe.”

Hope he replaces Alioski and makes him fight for his place. <ok>

Looks like Sacko's offski too, turning into a good Monday. <cheers>

as mentioned earlier... speed awareness course!

They're actually really good in my opinion, it makes you realise gaps in your knowledge and the potential repercussions of it... and when you discuss it round the dinner table, it soon highlights gaps in everyone else's... which in my view helps spread the word. I think 'driver training' should be obligatory for all drivers every x years, and annual capability tests once you reach a certain age.

Anyway here it is from a more reliable source than me:

    That link is wrong.

The table is right but the text relating to car derived vans is wrong.

Basically wouldn't entertain joining Leeds as they finished below Derby last year.

Basically saying we were ****e and hadn't done anything to suggest improvement.
Only one way to make him regret it.

    Correct.

Irrespective, if he doesn't want to be at Leeds he can stick his Golden Boot where the sun don't shine. <ok><ok><ok>

I'd take the studs off first. <yikes>
