Is there any players in Scotland worth 5 million ? Very few if any,brilliant Scots players,tend to be league 1 standard,not like the old days.
You'd actually be surprised. There are some great players still. Celtic seem to have most of them. Btw, I don't think he'll fetch £5m. Not if you're relying on Celtic or Rangers pushing up the prices. They rely on religion, tribal loyalty, & peer pressure to sign players. Rangers had a turnover of £29m last year - less than us. And Celtic just don't like to spend it. They're more inclined to retain players & pay them better.

The £5m Jock seems to have legs, but you would expect that for that price boom boom. According to Chris Sutton the best midfield player in Scotland is Scott Brown who has power and flair, and Sutton rates McGinn as close to Brown and should be a mile ahead of him soon. Celtic have started the bidding with a £4m offer this morning and Sutton says Leeds want him they have to go get him or lose him. Also it seems we tried to sign Johannson from Werder Bremen last Summer who was a free scoring striker and capped 19 times for the USA. We pulled out apparently and went for Lassoga, but we are supposed to be back in for him even though he had a nightmare season only scoring twice. According to the chances of it happening are 3.6 out of 5 but European pundits saying dont be silly dont do it!!!
Difficult to assess as I haven't seen enough of these supposed targets. Hull fans rate Wilson, also three of them told me last week that their striker Hernandez is up & down & you're welcome to him Aren't we a football club?......actually don't get me started on that again Strachan without a shadow of a doubt, just behind our midfield greats of the 70's
We must take more time to assess transfer targets, we have signed enough duds. One of the best players against Leeds this season was Traore of Boro.Yet when they played Villa in the play offs he was anonymous.
