The players i’ve heard from say the step up from u23s is significant... it’s the pace and intensity of man’s football v boys football. It’s partly why they all get knackered and are generally introduced gently unless needs must.

LDB confirmed he will be in Greece later this week to join his new team. I just need to find out if we have sold him or loaned him out again.

Cibicki will be gone by the end of the month too and the greedy Anita should be in the USA

That just leaves the useless Bouy who should be released and O'Kane who will be with us until January now as he is still recovering from his bad breaks and had a set-back

I know that this has been said often, and there's a similar leap to make from coming on as sub to starting a game, but does the former still apply when all of our teams are playing Bielsaball, so know the ropes & can slot in? Compare this to a first team that might play 3-5-2 / 5-3-2, & the reserve coach plays 4-4-2 / 4-3-3 due to the players available or some other reason.

I'm sure it must narrow the gap of the former, and Bielsa's habit of naming lots of u23s on the bench over the year must surely narrow the gap for the latter too?

Thinking logically here, & acknowledge it plays no part in football! :D Worth asking the players if the gaps have narrowed since Bielsa took over?

Yes. As Norman and Ell said, you give them 20 minutes as sub once the game has been 'won'. If you think they can't see the game they're not ready.

There seems to be which is why Bogusz isn't ready at 3-0 up against a league 2 side?

Every player in every Leeds Utd team at TA must be able to play at least 2 positions. They all coach Bielsaball so if you train as a DM and a AM for the U23s and get on the bench for the first team, if you get onto the pitch you know exactly what to do. So the step up is now easier.

WJ I think I know why todays game wasn't too much Bielsaball as we usually see. Today Stevens was used as CF in the first half so that Clarke and Costa could be fitted in. Kun was also well out of position and played at 10. So plenty of breakdown in play and with Kun staying there all game didnt click. 2nd half Eddy goes up top and Stevens goes wing with Clarke going wide right

I think it’s completely a fair comment to say that if the u23s are set up to play the same way as the first team...and we know that patterns of play are rehearsed... and that fitness is a big part of bielsaball and will be reflected in u23 training... that it should smooth the transition.

However, it’s what the opposition are doing that is different. Bigger, faster, stronger, better... in your face more. The game is just played at a much faster pace... and the championship is notoriously frenetic - so it takes some adapting to. That’s what I’m told... never had to do it myself <laugh>

This isn't a brexit debate question.

If the UK leave with no deal on 31st Oct and the UK Government do as reported-

Will this mean EU footballers will have to leave the UK?

In answer to you both, today we faced a problem that our first team struggles with - a big, strong, erm ... robust, spoiling team. Millwall were very good at what they did, and at times there were 6 of them in our half when we had the ball at the back, obviously trying to stop Bielsaball & force the long ball. It actually worked well, particularly in the first half. They also defended in numbers, causing us to overplay or indulge in wayward shooting from outside of the box - just like the first team. We lost our way in the second half right up to their penalty. Corberan immediately shouted over to Berra "Berra, 3-3-1-3, you in middle of back 3". And then the game went in our favour. Well, more in our favour. :) One thing I forgot to mention. You often hear the phrase of 'with the last kick'. Well I witnessed it for the first time in my life. Bogusz scored, and as everyone moved back for the restart, the ref blew the whistle. I honestly thought that a game had to be restarted before the whistle could be blown. Shows you how much I know.

Very amusing, but not much different to comments we see from Leeds fans sometimes.

Amazing how many don’t seem to understand the difference between fouls and misconduct! They seem to think after the whistle is blown the fouled player could stab or shoot an opponent with no consequence!

And also only a second string opposition. Lets face it, Milwalls reserves couldn't be up to much
