Morning Eire. I was really excited by the Pennington signing but he seems to have been one of the most disappointing tbh.

As per usual, pointless getting excited or otherwise about signings until they get a run in the team. After about ten games, theyll all show their colours one way or the other

Trouble is Eire we have said it all before, starting to sound like a well worn record now.
Morning to all by the way

    Morning all

I think we've hot a new low in regards to this club this feels worse that 06/07 and that was pretty disappointing. It wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't been top at the start of the season.

This is a top 6 side? Then I'll be a monkey's uncle so to speak. We are no where near top 6 quality and the fact we're 14th and falling down the league just proves that point. We've got Fulham next and I expect us to lose that game as well.

How kids have we rated because they we're Leeds lads? Probably way to many and PF is one of them. If he had got him from another club like we did with Allerway then he wouldn't have raved about him for the last couple of years.

The youth set up at the moment scares me. We won't be producing any young local talent soon, we'll be producing the next lot of European talent for other countries.

The Heckythump situation is shocking. We got somebody with a terrible record to push us up the table. I agree with the people who say we could have got a lot better coach who has no club.

    That for deffo.

Here is a poser for you all..

Does anyone fancy a none football meetup in the summer.
A day at the Cricket (Headingley)

Or the races (York or Ripon). The bus from Leeds to Ripon is direct and their is a proper pub crawl... everyone could get to York but it is a but pricey to get in. Circa £27 for a none feature day.
I would have suggested Ponte but its a well known dogging spot and the old bill have wakeys picture on wanted posters there as a result.

You’re chuffed for him but want him moving on because of a loan deal that didn’t go great. How about judge him on what he does at Leeds.

Of course he’s not The finished article. He’s 21 and has played 4 games. It’s difficult for keepers to break through and tough to get them loan gigs as first choice when they don’t have experience. It’s a risk clubs aren’t often willing to take... particularly if we’re stipulating he’s going somewhere to play.

People pick up snippets of rumour or statements from other clubs that the deal isn’t going ahead and repeat them as proof of failure. None of which really matters as you should judge on what you see. I see a young lad (look at his face, he’s a boy still) chucked in at the deep end and so far he has swum. Would he be your first choice next year? Well the club absolutely needs to sign a quality keeper but he’s at least shown he can do a job.

Ell, as for wildman at Wednesday. I didn’t see the game, just the highlights, so he may have looked better... but he’s played 20+ times for wed this season, and seems like he’s done well. However, ekuban hit him for the save that made the highlight reel and he was glued to his line when Grot headed in from 3 yards out in the centre of the goal.

You are being far too generous in your interpretation there. Its more likely they did not have the brains to get a bung and they are just simply useless at picking em ;)

Good morning, after another superb performance marred only by the result and the poor play, we are ideally placed to further improve our position in the league form table. I for one feel hugely positive about how this season is going to end. We need to retain key players like de Bock and Wibble-Wobble and get rid of disruptive influences who keep trying to emulate a football team (fortunately we don't have many of these). Onwards and ever upwards! (*)

(*) not literally, obviously. Sideways or a bit down is also perfectly acceptable.

I disagree, sounds ideal. We need players who will blend imperceptibly into the current squad.

    Afternoon all.

Just thought I'd post a few comments about Tom Pearce on his debut as I know a few of you will have watched him in the U23's and might be wondering how he performed.

The first thing you notice about Tom is that whilst he has a lot of maturing to do physically he has the necessary attributes to be a professional footballer. He covers the ground effortlessly and he has a sweet left foot which once he settled down a bit he started to use more effectively. First half his touch let him down on occasion and he seemed to be under coaches orders to not cross the half way line as he repeatedly tucked inside next to Pennington when we were attacking.

Unfortunately defensively he didn't make a tackle as he repeatedly backed off allowing his opponent to advance and then cross the ball around him. Perhaps that wasn't such a bad thing as Dallas (aka teacher's pet) later dived in and was easily beaten to allow an uncontested cross for the 1st goal.

Second half until his substitution his contribution improved significantly as he grew in confidence but also PH was encouraging him to get forward more. My view is he should be relatively pleased with his debut but will know he could have done so much better and therefore will be a bit disappointed. If he gets another opportunity then maybe like a young colt after his debut at the track we will seem a marked improvement.

The question I suppose is do we have the time and patience to allow our young players to develop ?
