You think this wasn’t decided by lawyers? The 200k included costs.

I’d say it’s extremely unlikely that this wasn’t a plea bargain, Haggled by respective legal teams. They come up with something that shows the efl to have ‘defended the honour of fair play’ and shown their teeth... with what amounts to a bit of a slap but no points deduction and an agreement to draw a line under it. It’s just an acceptable compromise for both sides. We have more important things to concentrate on and don’t need the ‘threat’ of points deduction hanging over the squad as we enter the business end of the season.

It’s complete bollox, everyone knows that but sometimes you have to lose the battle to win the war, know when to fold ‘em etc etc blah blah.

I meant getting lawyers in to fight the "upmost good faith" bit. It's an "interesting" question that lawyers like to discuss at length.

According to the Daily Mail...Leeds, Bielsa and the VDO analyst have been given formal warnings by the FA . In addition all clubs, their employees and club agents etc have also been reminded that their conduct should be in the best interest of the game otherwise they are infringement of the rule regarding bringing the game into disrepute, FA Rule E3 (1).

No doubting that, it’s a deliberately undefinable catch all

I'm now looking forward to Leeds suing Frank Pampard for blowing this all out of proportion by telling outright lies. That might calm me down a bit.

Fully behind the sentiment but would rather concentrate on the remaining 14 games and promotion.

However after that...and especially if we're no longer under their jurisdiction then let's sue the f***ers good and proper.

We’d need Cellino or bates back for that battle. They enjoyed the courts

Some truth in that but as an ex army man i’m Sure you’ll also appreciate the concept of a tactical withdrawal for the greater good of the campaign. The great generals pick their battles, and whilst i’m not suggesting radz is a great general (passing resemblance to napoleon aside), personally I think they’re right to just end it now and draw a line under it. Whether or not they or any of us agree with it.

Bite the bullet now... and shaft the cnuts if and when an opportunity arises.

Personally, I can't think of a better way for the fans to stick two fingers up at the EFL than by covering the costs on behalf of the club. Each to their own. <ok>

Exactly. We have been found ‘guilty’ under the EFL good faith charter, we’ve not broken any FA rules so this should be the end of it. What really wrangles with me and shows how corrupt they are is “no spying 72 hours before a game”. That seems cleverly worded, as I said before, suggesting it goes on more than they thought so no spying at all would open a can of worms.

I agree with what you've said to a certain extent, but this is the EFL we're talking about, they want us staying in Championship.

If we give in to EFL, they'll know they can go on to try and dictate and control us...........however, I agree, we hit'em where it hurts on field.
