Funnily enough i’m using the U.K. transfermarkt site as that’s got the data in pounds see
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2

Not sure in what respect you think my figures are way off the mark

It shows total spend over £25m but understated the sales figure as it shows Taylor's as a free transfer but I thought we got compensation - I’m assuming total sales 21-22m (Woods, Bridcutt, Taylor)

We haven't had £15million for wood yet only made 1 payment of 3,so I understand.

You can’t do the figures like that Chesh, best way is to do it on full committed value when the player moves. I know the cash is different but there’s no way to track it all - we may get payments for players sold in the past too, you just can’t track it and it just confuses the issue.

In any case, whether we got 100% of Woods money on day one, or 20% or 50%, we lost 100% of him as a player on day 1 so that’s the best way to look at it from a footballing point of view

Are you saying that when it comes to selling players we accept staggered payment, but when we buy we put the money upfront.
Don't sound good business to me.
Cheaper players tend to be straight payments, larger fee's tend to be staggered, make of that, what you want.<whistle> I'm sure glory will.

But it could mean rad has spent £10 million more than you are saying.big difference on cashflow.

He has made comments about learning from this season that he can’t delegate decisions to others and needs to be more hands on. I interpret that as a comment on Orta as players are the major financial decision the club makes (apart from things like buying the ground). We will see - he is a PR man so we have to judge on actions not words

My problem is Radz coming out and taking the blame for Thomas, saying he shouldn't have chosen him and should have sacked him at Xmas. Then bringing in someone none of us would have looked at. PH will be here until the Summer thats now obvious, but what happens if performances and results dont improve? If 2 managers cant get the best out of your players does that mean the players are shyte or the managers are both as bad as each other. Either way the Orta situation comes into the spotlight as its either sack another manager or Orta.

When a new manager comes into a side that has had sucess in performing well, you expect them to have a big improvement immediatley unless the new manager is in the same league as Pardew or Coleman. Sorry but we seem to have a Pardew right now and wondering if Tommy would have been better

PH has been here a while now and I ant see an imprivement, I only see worse performances from LDB, Felix, Phillips, Anita, O’Kane. I see Sacko playing and I dont ghink any of these players performed that bad for Tommy and even Tommy knew not to play Sacko

Maybe could be we don’t know, we also don’t know what might come in from previous sales like Byram, we don’t know if we paid £4.6m upfront orbin stages for Forshaw (say)

We are not running the club Rad is and yes he has to manage cash flow, but any business has mechanisms to manage cash

Businesses also monitor their committed spends, and that’s what I’m looking at. It is also what matters from a playing point of view - when Woods left we lost 100% of a £15m player, when we bought Forshaw we got 100% of a £5m player.that is the most meaningful way to look at whether Rad is strengthening the squad or not

That's far too simple for some to understand.
