    The ruling by FIFA is interesting but the EFL have a rule, as follows:

    Now I thought that this meant that the club were obliged to make sure that players were available for the required time but perhaps it is a standard imposed on all registered players that they have to stay at the club for four days after the season ends, whenever that may be, as ordered by the league.

    Surely that's not legally enforceable if they're out of contract?

    I suspect not but if you take it literally?

    I think Jonny is right though and like FIFA the EFL will claim force majeure.
