Didn't Bielsa personally get involved in the Nketiah deal?

Ironically he would probably improve the bench.

Jay Roys too big, not nimble or fast enough, he should take up Rugby.

I thought we wanted someone with a bit of height doesn’t have to be that fast just needs to worry opposition defenders

John Charles wasn’t fast but he worried he’ll out of the defence

On the few occasions I saw him I always thought there was a player in there somewhere I would like to see him again.

Back then he didn't really need to be, but he scored a lot of goals.

Fitness these days is far tougher than it was back in JC's day.

Not the ones I've spoken to. I've never heard the term "buzzin'" so often in my life, which is a vary common response when you ask them what it's like being part of the club.

It's a fact of life that very few u23s break through at any club, and the u23s know this - as do their parents & family. They also know that you are more likely to get your break at Leeds than at any other club. Add to that the wages, kudos to be involved at Leeds, and most importantly, the development and spotlight that Bielsaball brings, they're as happy as Larry. Honestly.

Took my lads to Madrid & Valencia & was happy to buy them half & half scarves. They stayed pinned to their bedroom walls until they moved out. Clearly much loved momentos, for 2 very special occasions, so worth it. Wouldn't give them a second look otherwise. Perhaps when I take my grandsons on our next Champions League run. :)

So another 8 hours pass since this morning, and still no sign of a signing confirmed.. I keep checking all sources to no avail.. Poveda would be the one that should pop up.. Nothing.. (Wheres the tumble weed emoji?)

Wondered what the Poveda hold up was myself, you can’t help but fear the worse and assume we’re pissing about over finances. This is a prime example of why we can’t leave signings to deadline day

Still not convinced that we need to replace Bamford. Well not with the names that are cropping up. Sure, his replacement might convert more chances, but ask yourself - will the new guy get himself into the number of scoring positions that Bamford does? (I have no idea, btw). Or provide whatever it is that makes Bielsa pick him week after week? (Again, I have no idea, but doubt it).

And of course, if new guy scores more than Bamford might, what about the rest of the misfiring team? Yes, I'm still banging this drum, 'cos a Bamford replacement is not going to fix all of our problems. We could be heading for a very expensive mistake.

I do accept that we need backup for Bamford, btw. That is something completely different, although very few are recognising that separation.

Yeah, it certainly doesn't instill confidence at all... Let hope we are wrong and the silence is a good thing..
