The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 18th September)

Yep. Same here. Had a very emotional response to the goal. Hairs were standing up on the back of my neck and the lot. My 8 year old was watching it with me and he was looking a bit bemused at my reaction once the jumping and shouting stopped.

The take us home 2 documentary is a very good watch and very moving in parts.
There is a scene, around the centenary celebrations, where Norman is talking of his honour of having played for leeds.
Cooper is sat next to and as Norman finishes speaking Cooper, our captain, pats him on the knee.

It is an incredibly moving moment in my eyes. It once again shows the love that Norman had for this club.
More importantly I think it shows that our current club captain gets it, just gets it. He loves the club and knows what it means to be Leeds.

Agree with you Jammy about enjoying a few games without the pressure of it being a needed win for promotion, I’d like the first win and points on the board to be against Fulham though

 

I just wish we'd get on with this signing before another club nicks De Paul off us.

We desperately need a quality playmaker rather than be totally reliant on Pablo

Agreed. Bit early to be talking about pressure but these are the games we should be winning with Man City at home looming on the horizon.

Win tomorrow and we may be able to enjoy the City game when there's not much expected. A bit like the game at Anfield.

 

I just watched season 2. Forshaw's had more minutes in that than he's played! Who could dislike Luke Ayling. I loved the bit where he said that they may not be the best players but they're a team.
I can't believe we loaned Klich out and were trying to get rid of him a few years ago!
It showed how important Costa was in the run in.
Huge respect for all of them but Cooper, Ayling, Dallas, Alioski and Klich embody the team ethic.

Two games this weekend will tell us a lot. Us against Fulham definitely but also how Liverpool get on at Chelski. If they get humped our result doesn't look as good.
Was it us making them look poor or are they actually poor?
I think Moreno's first shot on target was his pen against Hull.
I agree Roberts needs to lose the showboating and embrace the KISS principle.

Half way through the second one, had to take time out, to man up a bit after us just getting promoted with WBA losing to Huddersfield. Must admit can't ever slag Victor off, he's one of us is that lad for sure.

 

Take us home season 2 is a quality, well made documentary and full of emotion. Radz and Victor come out of it as top geezers and all the players featured have a great team spirit.

Saddest part was Norm being wheeled through Elland Road in his coffin for his final trip, I'm choking up all over again just writing about it. Very, very sad he didn't get to see us play in the premiership.

 

Watching it next week with Junior Marcos mate, Mrs is away jumping horses for a few days in Chesh's neck of the woods so happy days

Tyler Roberts debate and Noel Whelans view

Whelan told Football Insider: “Tyler Roberts looked so uninterested, his touch wasn’t good, his movement was poor, he just didn’t look like he was actually enjoying the game.
“I know he wasn’t playing well but you’ve got to have an appetite when things aren’t going right with your touch, you’ve got to work hard, you’ve got to sprint, you’ve got to look interested in a game.

“He just wasn’t at all dynamic while he was out there and making things happen like a number 10 should. He wasn’t getting into the right areas, he wasn’t getting on the ball to make things happen – he looked low on confidence. I’m not sure he broke into a sprint at any stage.”

 

Jack Clarke not good enough for Spurs so going to be loaned out to Championship club Birmingham ....

 

So poor old Jack was all hype and no substance in the end.

love that Spuds gave us £9m for Clarke and everyone keeps saying that Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator. We got rid of Clarke and brought in White and Costa, thansk Dan you got us promoted yid army
